The service I got yesterday was just above and beyond from Paula at the Baxtergate shop, I left it till late in the afternoon to get my shopping. They had run out of some things I needed, and Paula happily took time to find me alternatives. A very happy customer. Well done Team Baxtergate

A very traditional experience! We came here for breakfast and were very impressed with how large the selection of food was. I highly recommend the fruit scones and the hot chocolate, they were delicious! We had a lovely meal and were pleased that it was priced very fairly. The decor was very traditional for tearooms and looks as if not much has changed in the past 50 years! Although this is not to everyone’s taste, our group really enjoyed it! The staff were also lovely and greeted us with a big smile. It was overall, a great experience!

We've walked past this tea room a few times, not knowing what a lovely place it was, as we only saw it as a bakery shop. You have to go upstairs to access the tea room (there's a stair lift too for anyone not able to get up them), and once up there, it's quite worthwhile. As we'd already had lunch earlier, we had tea & cake. Very nicely decorated & plenty of space between the tables. Good selection of speciality teas, coffees & cakes.

Visited Whitby a couple of weeks ago and discovered this gem of a bakery. I was absolutely amazed, by the staff, cleanliness, variety of products, the well known lemon buns which one of my best friends stated that they are to die for .. that is how amazing they are 🤩! They are!!! Ever since I have placed a few orders to enjoy these goodies in my hometown as well, Birmingham UK. I highly recommend their range of biscuits, cakes, loafs, the super tasty lemon buns! I promise you will not be disappointed ever! ❤️❤️❤️

A slice of history in this place! Stopped in because my Gran worked there in the 1920s. Bought some lovely cakes and biscuits. Showed the staff a photo of my Gran in her Botham's uniform, and they passed it around and were very pleased to see it! Definitely stop in if you're in the area.

We always head to Botham's when we visit Whitby, mainly for their amazing lemon buns. You can also order their products online. I have just had the chocolate birthday cake delivered. It arrived in perfect condition and was absolutely gorgeous.

I absolutely love this bakery and whenever we visit Whitby, we have to stop here to pick up a week’s supply of lemon iced buns! This year, we also tried their brownie, tea biscuits and double chocolate chip biscuits which were scrumptious. I recently heard that the best way to eat the lemon bun is to cut the bun in half and fold it back on itself like an icing sandwich! But it doesn’t matter how you eat it, as it will always be delicious. I also love the history of the Botham’s Bakery and that it has been a family business for so long. Can’t wait to visit Whitby again to be able to savour these delicious treats. And don’t forget, there’s a factory shop just on the outskirts of Whitby too, so you can stock up before you leave!

Out of this world experience thank you. We had what we wanted for a 6th of the price Betty's expect and the atmosphere was just lovely. I love Betty's but this was just as good and I would recommend. We have gone away with one of their very reasonable offers as well as cakes for later on fantastic value for money

Thanks to Tracy and all the team for making my brother and sister in laws afternoon tea to celebrate their 50th wedding Anniversary on Saturday so special. Decorating the table with gold 50s and placing gold ribbon on the aft/noon tea trays looked lovely. The sandwiches scones and cakes were Devine thank you, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent service we would highly recommend.
