The Blitz - Whitby - Photo album

This is a brand new bar, the owner has had the premises less than a month. We stuck our heads in as he was closing early because people were walking past because they still think it's a restaurant. Good on him that he served us a couple of beers just as he was literally closing the doors for the nig
Dog friendly bar with a good choice and 2 for £14 cocktails. Enjoyed a drink here x 2, once outside & once inside. Returned on the Thursday to find it closed 😔 Think there may have been staffing issues. Friendly guy and nice cosy atmosphere.
We hadn't booked but they'd had a cancellation so we're in luck. The steaks we had were beautiful. The crevettes were amazing, though a finger bowl wouldn't have gone unappreciated. Drinks were fairly priced as was the food. Probably recommend booking as it was very busy even on a Tuesday evening. T
Not quite sure how tapas, Spain, cocktails, historic Whitby and the London blitz have in common!? But hey! The food was pretty damn good! Had a rip roaring family meal and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! (Oh and no deserts on the menu!?) I just really don't understand the concept... But maybe you
We called in today for a couple of drinks with our dog and were made so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for the guys who served us (sadly didn't get their names). Would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back.
Lovely relaxing restaurant with a wartime theme. There is a mixture of tapas and more traditional food. The food is of a good standard with attentive staff. A big well done, and will certainly visit again.
Really enjoyed our tea we shared pork belly in a sauce. steak strips . garlic mushroom chips and onion rings . Was very tasty lovely staff
Lovely restaurant with a good blend of modern and war themed decor. Tapas was excellent although beware the plates are a good size so dont get too carried away as you can keep reordering. Well done to the staff, friendly and prompt service. Keep it up.
Absolutely beautiful cafe/ restaurant. We popped in fir desert after a disappointing birthday meal at another venue. Staff were lovely and put our candles and sparklers on my daughters desert. The puddings were absolutely delicious, not box bought - home made and gorgeous. Lovely atmosphere and cust
Food is amazing and the staff even better. They were extremely busy but, still managed to serve everyone quickly and politely - nothing was too much trouble. Can 100% recommend the sharing platter!
A great little restaurant with a welcome rest after a day walking around the lovely town of Whitby. Fantastic cup of tea in a proper china teapot & tea cup , loose tea leaves so you get a little sieve to put it through. Food was very nice & tasty and high chairs available for young ones as we had
Food was delicious and not expensive. Great choice of gins and the staff were all very friendly. Definitely recommend and will be back soon👍
100% the best eatery we've tried in Whitby. The food was expertly prepared and presented. The service was warm and attentive. COVID 19 precautions were well executed and taken seriously. If you only dine in one place in Whitby... Make it here!
Love the place! Great to have some drinks and also the staff is super friendly! Highly recommended for anyone 😁
A cool fusion of traditional and modern (see photos of breakfasts) with sandbags, bunting, old tea cups, and an underground bunker (with toilets in). Wife had camp coffee and I had a good americano. Great breakfasts! Mine was a more traditional full English but my wife’s breakfast scone was modern a
Came for Breakfast and arrived a shade after 11.00 (when they stop serving) but asked anyway. Chef thankfully said it was no problem. Four of us had the Full English (one a Vegan version) the others had a Cajun Chicken wrap and a Tuna Mayo sandwich. We were all really happy with our choices. Servic
Great place. Very frequent visitors to Whitby and always have breakfast at The Blitz. However on our most recent stay (26th September) it wasn't quite up to the standard we have come to expect. I'm not sure if there has been a change in ownership or if they have started to get their produce from a d
We loved the coffee here (Italian style espresso) and the music and decor. However, they don't open until 10 am and closed early on Monday when we had olanned to go for cocktails.
Very friendly service, great choice of menu and the tapas dishes were really tasty. We will definitely be coming back here
