Duke Of York - Whitby - Photo album

Absolutely packed for the goth weekend but despite this, the atmosphere was great and the staff were efficient and very helpful even taking time to bring over a bowl of water for my dog. Very dog friendly pub.
This is my favourite harbour side pub in Whitby. Refurbished since my last visit and was full of atmosphere. It is popular and there is no table booking but people politely wait on the side for free tables, what a polite society here... The menu is classic pub with a seaside feel. Meals were quick t
best food ive had since my stay here in whitby. cocktails were delicious and staff were very kind
Stayed here earlier in the year during the winter. We had a room booked for one night including breakfast, we were very impressed with the room it was brilliantly finished to a high standard with a excellent view of harbour πŸ‘πŸ». Traditional English breakfast the next morning didn’t disappoint πŸ˜‹. T
Stayed here with my wife for a weekend away with our friends. We all stayed here, we stayed in the rooms down on the harbour under the pub. Rooms were beautiful although a little small. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was great for a small pub. This place got very busy and the pric

Great stay. Amazing views from room and bar area, friendly staff
Josh, behind the bar, was extremely helpful. Very knowledgeable on the drinks provided and the service was impeccable. We had a bit of a delay on the food as what we had ordered was not available - they offered an alternative and didn't charge us the difference which was very kind. Ryan, the deputy
We just love the duke of York in the old town πŸ‘Œ It’s location and outlook are lovely 😊 at the end of the Main Street in the old town at the bottom of the steps up to the old abbey. Food and ale 🍺 are excellent so we always use the public house when in Whitby. Staff very friendly πŸ˜ƒ remember it can be
The room is under the pub, looking out over the harbour. Very clean. Pub is friendly and helpful with good food, but difficult to find parking. It's at the end of a pedestrian cobbled street.
We always eat at the Duke of York when we visit Whitby, usually between 17:00 and 19:00. The place is always buzzing with happy, friendly people. There's a fantastic view of the harbour whilst you're eating your food. Menu is fab, just what you need - you'll never leave still feeling hungry! You can
We ventured out in the snow & very cold wind for afternoon lunch at The Duke of York. Church street seconds away from the 199 steps. On arrival we found a seat for 2 in the recently refurbished back snug room . We ordered 2 meals hunters chicken & a mixed grill. Sadly the meal was slow to arrive at
A massive thank you to Andy, Riley and Ashley for making our family Lunch. Amazing the service was 2nd to none and the food was fantastic. I asked the grandchildren to score the food out of 10 and all three of them. Give you 10 out of 10.. Many thanks for a very special afternoon. We are looking for
Been here last year, also again this week. This is a great place if you have a dog, also a great area if you don’t. Staff superb. Are here as well, the food was really good. The renovation work makes it a lot better as well.
Myself, 5 friends and a dog visited last weekend. We all had lovely meals, (not the dog, he had his own later!). Everyone was happy, so no complaints from here!
