The Flask Inn is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the North York moors or the surprisingly stunning Yorkshire coast. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped, though the upper rooms may present difficulty for those unable to climb stairs. Help was offered with luggage if needed. The pub was very pleasant with both good beers and great food, with vegetarian options available. There was a varied menu for breakfast sufficient to meet anyone's needs. Staff were very friendly and attentive to personal needs. I recommend them highly and would stay again (stayed 4 nights this time)if my travels take me back to Yorkshire
Just booked a table for evening meal. Meal was lovely, service was excellent. Could really do with more dishes suitable for vegans. Our daughter could only have vegetable soup. Very dog friendly.....wonderful.
Welcomed with a smile. Decent pub grub at a decent price. We had the Pie and a Burger whilst the kids both had pizzas. All left full and happy with service received. Good Beer selection also.
Had a lovely few days at the flask inn, the room was clean and spacious, with everything you need, a hairdryer, fan, toiletries, kettle, etc
The hosts and staff were friendly and welcoming to my family and dogs
We enjoyed a great night watching live music from the counterfeit celts.
We would come back happily
My only gripe would be the english breakfast, which tasted cheap and flavourless
Called here for our evening meal as we were staying at a local campsite.
The staff were friendly.
We ordered our food and it was ready within minutes.
There wasn’t a lot of choice on the menu, but what we had was nice.
I personally think the pub could have been decorated a little brighter. But that is just my opinion.
Nice country pub. We visited for an evening meal on a Sunday, a quiet day but still a nice friendly pub with a good choice of pub favourite meals.
Good hearty meals which were tasty and more than we could eat. You won't go hungry!
Nice pub with a good range of beers. 😎 👍 👍 👍
Staying close by, we had a walk down early on a Friday afternoon to get some food. It wasn't busy, but there were plenty of people popping in and booking for the evening. We have a toddler, and she had a walk around the bar area. Went back for the next 2 evenings for a drink so little one could have a walk around the beer garden. There is plenty of seating front and back. Food was very nice. Portion size decent.
Brilliant staff, debs and Debbie fab! Without exception every member of the team were brilliant! Food great, we had a brilliant band on… what a bonus. Defo go again. We took our dog Oscar and he was made very welcome. Room was spotless. Will visit again! Thank you x
We went in for lunch. They were dog-friendly which helped. The food was tasty and the portion sizes were more than ample too. Would recommend this pub as a pit stop for food and drinks.
Great place to make HQ to visit the surrounding old towns, train, and moors. Loved the pub below. Such a familiar atmosphere. I would stay here again.
Little hidden gem , excellent accommodation, clean, well presented and comfortable beds, ideally located for trips to Robin hoods bay, 10 mins by car, Whitby, about 15 mins and Scarborough, about 30 minutes.
The food in the restaurant HAS to be some of the best we've ever had , I can recommend the steak and ale pie...simply 5 star quality.
The pub side is brilliant, excellent, friendly service , a really good selection of quality beverages on offer, I can personally recommend the Fotheringham best better .....
Highly recommended,we will be coming back
Had an excellent meal of a high standard, great service, atmosphere & beer choice at good value for money.
Great to have a country dog friendly, warming pub. Definitely love the specials board, would be nice to have a change on the desserts as we’ve been a few times & they’re amazing but only a small & the same selection.
Friendly country pub and hotel in the heart of the North York Moors National Park.
Superb accomodation and great selection of chef prepared meals.
Highly recommended for touring or visits to Robin Hoods bay 10 mins away
Popped in for an evening meal and a pint. Pork and scampi meals were fantastic. My Wife positively loved the orange and thyme gravy. Guinness was served to perfection. No long waits for food and staff were friendly.
Perfect location as it is accessible for anyone along the A171, but most importantly those staying at Grouse Hill Caravan site.
Friendly service, good food and a great pint.
Food is stunning! Stayed here 2 nights for work and both meals were amazing would highly recommended! Don’t judge the interior like I did!
Very quiet pub for a school holiday night. Average selection of good but well- cooked and good portions. Only two people in pub then we entered. One left and then a family of four and another couple came in. Still plenty of empty tables. Also has rooms for b&b but not cheap at 87 per night. Breakfast judging by the dinner could be filling. Had a few bad reviews on TripAdvisor but I can't see why people complained about the food.
I only went for a meal. I rang and booked it at 16:15 today, went and ordered the burger it was excellent, also the staff are very friendly and helpful. Will deffo be coming again. Well done Sarah and Nick.
It's a pity it was empty a lovely lady made two teas for me and wifey and how nice it was too ,I will be doing this again next time I am visiting Scarborough
