Hart Inn - Whitby - Photo album

Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Great location. Food is delicious and fresh. The haddock and chips was absolutely massive. I wasn’t so crazy about the scampi and chips but the veggie sausage sandwich and veggie lasagna looked yummy. Will be back.
Lovely place. We got in at pretty much bang on 14:30 and are very very thankful to the manager and chefs who allowed us to order food 😅 we came because I saw the seafood sharing platter online and me and my dad immediately wanted to try it, and luckily for us it was available 😋 and ohmygod it was in
Great little pub with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Good stop off after a long day. Outside eating areas were a bit messy but it was a busy day so 🤷‍♂️
Food was amazing, had the seafood platter, so fresh, tasty and plentiful. Husband went for steak and he said that was gorgeous too. Service was spot on and the restaurant was warm and comfortable, wouldn't hesitate to return. Wine price was also reasonable
Can't rate this place enough. Dog friendly, roaring fire, food is the tastiest and large portions, so go hungry. The garlic prawns to start are a must. The 8oz gammon is giant. The staff are warm and welcoming. We can't wait to return.
A great pub in Sandsend. Friendly and helpful staff, very quick service and masses of outdoor seating at the front and in the garden. Food was standard pub grub and various seafood options, and it arrived very quickly with huge portions.
Stayed in Sandsend for the weekend and decided to give ‘The Hart Inn’ a visit. They were more than happy to squeeze a table for 9 in with only 24hours notice. When we arrived we could see why they had to squeeze us in, it must be the busiest pub in Yorkshire. Don’t be put off by that though the atmo
We just managed to get a table and they took our food order just before 5pm. It arrived quickly and I have to say it was excellent. Our crab and prawn salads were delicious with a great variety of salads and the crab was very tasty. The service was great and the staff very friendly but it was busy a
Visited this pub after a walk with some friends. Friendly staff and a nice beer garden. Good range of drinks and for me a well poured pint of Guinness. Food is also available and looked good although I didn't eat there. It's definitely worth a visit.
Lovely pub/restaurant just off the road with parking round the back. The food was first class with Black Sheep and John Smiths on tap so very happy. Very generous portions and the desserts are delicious. The 8oz rib eye was so tender and the sticky toffee pudding was one of the best I've had. Top ma
The Hart Inn at Sandsend near Whitby is just an amazing find. They have two dining rooms upstairs, tastefully decorated. The food was so good and filled the huge plates. I had dressed Crab salad. The salad was unlike anything I had had before, it had everything in it! Strawberries, grapes, radish, a
lovely pub. will have to try the food next time as it looked delicious. nice choice of beers, ciders and wine.
Popped in for an early lunch before walking to Whitby. Only one table full when we arrived but it filled up fast. We had a lovely burger and fish finger sandwich. The staff were friendly and efficient, everything was clean and tidy. Reasonably priced for the prime location.
Mid-week evening meal of fish and chips and Thai monk fish and prawn curry, very good. Service happy and smiling with upstairs room almost full. Jovial crowd in the bar. Recommend to book as we will.

Really nice food and drinks options. Good quality and good size portions. Great puddings and good kids menu. Dog friendly. Friendly and efficient staff. Very near the sea. Nice outdoor seating areas. The nearby beach is very nice too. Parking to the rear. Busy when we were there (Sunday 22nd July) s
This is a great local pub a stones throw of the beach. Has 2 garden areas and a downstairs bar as well as an upstairs restaurant, always best to book a table. Visited this most excellent pub with my friend. We had a shared seafood platter, which was delicious with ample portions. The bar has a well-stocked choice of beers, wines, and spirits. All the staff were friendly and polite. The atmosphere is also excellent with a mix of tourists and locals. Would
