Exceptional service by the two ladies working on the ground floor. They gave our two children colouring in pages whilst we waited for our meals. The meals were delicious and best of all they served gluten free fish and hand cut chips. Will definitely recommend to everyone �

Called in for lunch last weekend, great location, clean pleasant decor, the food was excellent and not over priced. Very friendly, chatty staff and the icing on the cake my dog was made just as welcome as me hope to return soon �

During the Goth Weekend the Whitby streets were extremely busy and yet upstairs the Harbour View Restaurant was a haven of peace and quiet because the rooms are a good size. The staff were rushed off their feet but were friendly and got everything on the order right. The food was delicious and filling, and the range of sauces on the table was good.
We had fish, chips, peas with bread and butter and pot of tea. £11.25 per person. We were shown to a table immediately and the tea arrive with bread and butter pretty quickly. We waited for about 10 minutes but I can say that it was worth the wait. The best fish and chips I’ve had for years. The batter was very light and the chips perfect. Good things come to those who wait.
Don't quite know what all the poor ratings were about. The staff were pretty quick to get us seated and taking our orders. Its a little overpriced for the portion size when compared to a normal chip shop takeaway but the batter was light and not greasy and the chips were nicely cooked.

Not sure what the low scores are for bit the chips were light, fluffy and crisp. I liked tje light batter on the cod. Also dog friendly! Great staff. Bought water for the dog. Would highly recommend.
The fish was perfect with a lot of butter and thin crust x. The restaurant was not busy like all fish and chips from beyond and the staff is nice as well.
We enjoyed traditional fish and chips service was good dog friendly too, it was cooked nice better than magpies in my opinion every thing was golden brown the way i like it , i will go again when i get chance
Pretty good! Prices were on the higher side and no credit/debit/contactless facility. Service was poorly organised but friendly.
