Alexanders Fish Restaurant - Whitby - Photo album

My favourite place to eat when I visit Whitby, the staff are friendly and offer an excellent table service where you do not have long to wait for your meal. A top rated fish restaurant at a very reasonable price for your meal not to be missed.
I visited this fish n chip shop on a cold December day, well out of season. Needless to say it wasn't busy. I had a large cod 'n chips, curry sauce with scraps and two slices of bread. (Of course I made a chip butty, and delicious it was too.) One curry sauce pot could be shared by two easily, the f
This basic fish and chip restaurant gives good value for money. We were served quickly by young, friendly staff and the food arrived quickly. Meal prices include a drink and bread and butter. The haddock and chips were delicious. The restaurant looked clean and fresh. Be aware space can be tight f
Excellent fish and chips, good friendly and prompt service, thanks
Very friendly and helpful Staff. The Cod and chips were exceptionally good. The cod fillet was very good value.
Fantastic fish and chips just a few metres away from the harbour.. Only downside is the tables are on the small side if there's more than 2 of you. Also only take cash payments. But like I said the food is amazing.
We loved the portions managed to be full on the large between two people. The fish and the chips were beautiful on a cold wet and windy day. The chips weren’t all the way crispy and the coffee and tea was a bit meh otherwise it would have got 5 stars
We arrived just as they opened and had the restaurant to ourselves. Staff were friendly and our order was quickly taken. The food was freshly prepared and quickly, as they were cooking just for us. I'm fussy with my fish and chips bit this was delicious. Would thoroughly recommend.
Proper high quality fish and chips without being ripped off. Cheap and cheerful definitely; superb value for money.. absolutely! £8.50 for large cod/haddock and chips with lovely tea and bread & butter (7.50 for medium fish).
Great experience today, ordered my mother's food and realised the chips weren't vegetarian friendly for myself. The woman who served me was very kind and told me where the closest vegetarian friendly chip shop was located and asked another staff member if I was able to get some and return to eat them
Lovely food, friendly staff, good prices. Not much in the way of space between tables but I imagine on goth weekends etc this means it will be the place to check for seats. Only accepts cash like many small businesses in Whitby, but over all a pleasant experience. Did I mention the lovely staff?
Great fish restaurant with plenty of seating. Haddock and chips were lovely and were well priced. Plenty of tea and a bonus of bread and butter. Staff very friendly and welcoming.
Lovely fish and chips cooked in beef dripping! Very busy restaurant tables are small and feels a bit claustrophobic. Some large diners when I went with two men taking up the space of four people!
No too expensive freshly cooked. The haddock is skinned and boned which is a bonus for me! My son enjoyed his fish fingers and chips eating nearly all of it
Very nice place friendly staff lovely fish and chips and pretty cheap as well for a sit down meal
