Hidden gem. Varied menu offering well priced food that was well presented and excellent to taste. Open till 11pm, which was good as we were just trying to find some late night dinner. Attentive staff could not do enough to help. Highly recommended if you are ever in the area.
I have had two takeaways from here and the food was fantastic. The lamb tagine was out of this world ! One of the tastiest takeaway meals l have ever had. But more than that the people were lovely . . . . . friendly and kind, even bringing me a taste of the sauce to make sure it was how l wanted it ! I have been wanting to go in for a sit down meal and will do it soon for a friend's birthday.
Excellent evening. A lot of thought and attention to detail has gone in to the setting - beautiful murals, cushion, carpets etc., Good location, with sea view. Staff are attentive, responsive and courteous. Meal was gorgeous - keep that chef! First time tonight but will definitely go back. Very pleased to recommend it. Highly.
My second visit. Lovely food, freshly made and exquisitely spiced with flavour. A little gem of a place. It is a large space to fill, but they have created a lovely chill out zone where you can relax after your meal and smoke a fruity hookah afterwards. Highly recommend.
Went for a meal on Christmas eve, food was delicious and service was very welcoming. Charming environment, when we went they didn't have an alcohol licence, but the gentleman opened a bottle of wine my family brought with us. Would recommend.
Had a lovely meal with friends at Jasmine. Loved the Prawn Kunafa - it’s the third time I’ve ordered it - can’t get enough of it. Spicy lentil soup, followed by okra tagine which I had with crispy chips - then finished with baklava, all beautifully cooked and served. A welcoming and colourful environment!

Been meaning to go since Jasmine opened and finally had the opportunity last night. So glad we did, although quiet (to be expected midweek, 2 weeks before Christmas) we were looked after fantastically.
We had 2 starters, chicken livers (done extra spicy, thanks chef) and prawns in a spun filo pastry, both very tasty. Then lentil soup, brilliant for a cold night. Then onto the mains which was Fish Tagine, delicately flavoured and very rich, (chef brought me some lovely Moroccan chilli and harissa paste separately so I could spice up to my fiery tastes!!), served with buttery rice and fresh flat bread. Finally desserts, again excellent. An excellent meal and something a little different for Whitby.
Whitby`s best kept secret!!! Don`t miss this , fantastic food, good helpings all cooked freshly to your order. The service is homely and friendly, making the whole experience a very pleasant evening out. We can`t wait to go again!!!
Excellent place simple and modest, food is made fresh from scratch, best home style food,nothing fashionable, you just feel home they have added a simple cafe menu now.
Divine food. My sister's fish tagine was one of the nicest things she'd ever eaten. Absolute treasure of a place!
