Velveteen Whitby - Whitby - Photo album

We visited to get out of the rain and it was lovely. Such a tribute to France and French stars of the past. Sadly it wasn't busy but it deserved to be. I'd go back and enjoy a glass of champagne or 2 if I wasn't driving. Well worth a visit. Really nice young lady served us.
Amazing food. Staff are lovely and kind I would recommend you coming her in Whitby. And coffee phenomenonal.
Popped in for just a coffee last night, liked the place so much we booked for a meal tonight. The food is stunning, but the banter from other guests and the team gives Velveteen an extra charm (thanks Andrea and Brett). Loved it all
By far the best meal i have ever had, every course was exceptional, and the service was excellent, we came for our 25th wedding anniversary, thank you.
What a lovey quaint cafe. Very stylish and trendy, with very polite staff. And probably the poshest cafe toilet I have ever used.
It's such a shame that this restaurant does not have regular evening hours. It has a great menu, great food and great ambiance too. If you get an evening booking do so.
A visit to Whitby was a triumph after a most memorable late lunch in Velveteen.Firstly having delicious cocktails at Cafe Monmatre served by Danny who very kindly personally made our reservation to eat at Velveteen(thanks again) Food ambiance & hospitality was exceptional with a warm welcome from Je
We had been before and loved it, so went back with family and friends. It was excellent. The food is delicious and the service is great.
Very welcoming, accommodating and polite staff. I had a cheese scone which they warmed and the coffee was wonderful. A must try x
Simple fare done well. I can only speak to their lunch menu, but good food that is very well priced. Their charcuterie platter was a great surprise with a mix of meats, fruit, nuts and bread all for a very good price. Their range of by the glass wines are limited, but they get a pass on this as the
Food was excellent, but possibly a bit over priced. Surf And Turf was£40, but the small lobster and steak would have been better in the £30 region. The fries are air-fryer cooked, so go cold very quickly. I'd have the wonderful potatoes my partner had next time.
Fabulous coffee ☕️, date and walnut cake was superb, great service and beautiful decor, relaxed and plush. Check out the wonderful toilet, gorgeous. Don't miss it if in Whitby.
This was are third time dinning at velveteens, and once again the service was on point the food was outstanding the atmosphere was just perfect. It's a lovely intermet place to enjoy good food in a relaxed environment.
The staff were friendly, the place was clean. The food, although very nice was quite expensive. The menu is not very big so limited choices, and is mainly fish.
Lovely place, excellent food and friendly staff. Service is a bit slow and relaxed but worth the wait.
