Absolutely lovely, came to warm ourselves up and have breakfast, one of the best I had. I went for the big one and it was more than I expected but too good not to eat everything :D

What can I say, 2 of us called in on the way to collect a machine and had a fantastic breakfast yesterday morning, served by a very, very nice lady. Without doubt, the best breakfast I've had, in a very long time, cooked to perfection!

Great value, home cooked, locally sourced produce with a warming atmosphere (not just from the log fire). We visited for breakfast which perfectly fuelled our walk up to Staward Peel. Shop is suitably stocked with essentials and local goods. Will hopefully drop by again soon.
A proper, local, village shop with a café as part of it. Most excellent home made cakes, scones and hot food (including, of course, my standard of the bacon, sausage and egg sandwich). Will definitely be heading back there again! Pro tip: it closes at 1300 on a Sunday, so go early and don't get caug

Stumbled across this place whilst motorcycle touring. Lovely lady served us lovely food. Can't say much else, popular with the locals too so that says a lot.
Sat by the fire, thawing out from an overnight camp and the breakfast was exquisite

This is the friendliest cafe where other customers chat while waiting for good quality food cooked by Janet and served by friendly waitresses. My favourite cafe. Wanted a cuppa to take up to Hartside pass when travelling to the Lake District. The tea was both huge and tasty at a decent price. Plenty of lunch/snack options on offer.
