Lovely sweet little Chinese restaurant in Whitley Bay. Staff are friendly & service is fast & not slow like other places. Food is tasty & good quantity per serving. Only thing would say is meat can be done with being cooked a bit more well done, but that's the only thing that could be improved. Really delicious food for a good price. 🍜
We ordered the early evening menu, which is a good option to eat a good amount in good price, the corn soup was good, missing chicken mince, the duck pancake was okay, not bad.

Living here for a while and it tried this little gem. It’s actually pretty tasty and cannot understand why we have not been before.
I think that takeaway can always look at bit beige, depending on what you get but the photos don’t do it justice.

Chinese food at its absolute finest. We had a meal for 4 from the set menu C and it was delicious, every part perfectly cooked and a pleasure on the palette.
I would thoroughly recommend Chengs for a dining experience. We are already planning a return visit.
They also offer a takeaway service.

The freshest Chinese takeaway food I’ve ever had and well worth paying a little bit more than in other places. The service was really quick on a Friday evening and the food was still hot when we got it home.

Great staff, amazing food.
Have always gone to town for Chinese food but decided to try this the other week. We had the weeknight banquet which was great value for money. Ordered a portion of chips and chilli chicken which we had to take home as we underestimated the portion size of the banquet. Will be back shortly really nice.

Best spare ribs I have ever had - the meat is always tender and falls off the bone. Beef and black bean the best too - and the prawn toast has whole prawns in it! Just love the food here
Wonderful meal early evening banquet with my daughter and her boyfriend. The spare ribs are the best in the north east the meat just falls from the bone. The curry rice and prawn crackers are delicious. In fact all the food was lovely hot and fresh. Covid safty measures in place. Good to have some quality time with a well cooked meal.
