Lovely room with everything we wanted and more. Modern but with some lovely, quirky touches. Superb breakfast with wide variety of fruit, etc. Extensive folder with information on restaurants, things to do, etc. Lee also discussed personal recommendations when we arrived. Most importantly both Lee and Paul were so helpful and friendly. I really can't rate the Metropolitan highly enough.

This B&B makes a change from some of the tired ones that are out there! A clean and modern B&B with friendly welcoming hosts. The rooms are well thought out and spacious with no noise coming into the room. It is a short walk from the metro and to the beach so an ideal location. The hosts recommended places to go and see in the local area which was handy when you don't have much time in the area. Overall a place I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Just had a lovely weekend at Whitleybay and stayed at the metropolitan and I’m/we’re pleased we did. On arrival Paul and Lee made us feel at ease , genuinely nice and polite guys. We were a family of four and our room was nice and roomy with comfortable beds. The bathroom was big with a great shower and free wi fi in room . The breakfast we were served was top notch with pleanty continental to choose from as well. My full English was perfectly cooked and served in a kindly manner. Overall a very clean tidy 4star hotel with great hosts/owners and I would definitely recommend to anyone and be 100% satisfied that they too would have a great experience.. thanks for stay

We were greeted at the door and they used our Christian names. They recommended several different places to eat and how to get there. The room was fabulous. Very boutiquey shower great and bed comfy. Lovely hotel standard sheets and the breakfast was delicious and more than we expected. We are healthy eaters and there was so much choice. We will definitely stay again.

My wife and I stayed there on 14 November. Excellent value for money. We would most happily stay there again. The only thing I could complain about is that they had forgotten to leave coffee in the room (there was tea) and the absence of a grab handle in the shower.

We stayed here as a family of 3 myself and my 2 adult sons. The service, the rooms, the food were all spot on. The host Paul was really welcoming and so helpful and kind,we were staying in Whitley Bay for a family funeral and Paul made the stay much easier. The rooms were fabulous, everything we needed and so nicely done out. The location we found was just right. Cannot fault this place at all and we would definitely recommend staying. We are looking at returning next year as we know we've found a lovely little haven in one of my favourite places. Thanks for being a great host 🙂

The Metropolitan Guest House was a great place to stay during my recent visit to the area. The breakfast was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the sea. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and they made sure that my stay was as enjoyable as possible. I would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the area.

I stayed on my way down from Scotland to Peterborough with my 2 children and again on our way back. Paul and Lee are great hosts, we had the family room one night which is very spacious, very clean with lovely decor. On our way back we had a double and twin which were equally as nice. The breakfast is delicious, hearty and freshly cooked with great choices. My daughter had the lot both mornings! There were also homemade brownies much to the kids delight. Next time we are in Whitley bay we will definitely be staying at the metropolitan.

This is without doubt one of the best guest houses I've stayed at. The rooms are clean and modern, the owners couldn't be more helpful, and the breakfast was outstanding. I can't find fault with it and would definitely recommend. Many thanks 😊

Excellent guest house! The owners are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and stylish. The attention to detail in the whole place is incredible. Great location for Whitley Bay & Tynemouth. Breakfast was out of this world!!! Free parking either outside the guesthouse or on the street. We will definitely be back very soon, an absolute gem! :)
