We booked for Sunday lunch in advance which i feel for August was advisable. Lovely beef roast with plenty of vegetables. Ale was well kept and there was a local choice which was nice. Lovely garden to sit out in (we luckily had fab weather) and live music too. What not to like.

A beautiful beer garden with some lovely rabbits. The beer and wine selection is good and fantastic staff who were polite and friendly. We didn’t eat but it was busy with people eating and I would definitely recommend a visit here. Dog friendly too.

What an absolute gem! Very friendly welcome for us and the dog. Food was plentiful and very tasty and we’re looking forward to visiting again before we leave. As an added bonus we met a lovely lady called Dot? who entertained the dog whilst we ate. Couldn’t ask for anything more. The puddings looked amazing but unfortunately we didn’t have room.

I had the pleasure of frequenting this pub during my stay on the Isle of Wight. It is by far my favorite pub in the whole of the UK. There were fun events and live music that engaged people with each other. The food was easily the best food ( not just pub food) I had during my stay in the UK. I had the pleasure of tasting most things on the menu. Treat yourself and go for the specials. I wasn't disappointed by a single meal. The steak and ale pie is a must here! The most endearing part of the White Horse Inn are the people that are frequently found there. The owner, the bartenders, the staff and the local community created a welcome environment that is truly the heartbeat of the pub. If you meet a surly man at the bar who has strong opinions about what you should be drinking (and everything else) that's David, and he's not wrong. The White Horse Inn is the quintessential pub experience everyone visiting the UK should have. I'm lucky I found this gem tucked away in a humble part of the Isle of Wight. I cannot wait to get back.

A nice friendly village pub where the locals are welcoming and there is good selection of drinks. We tried the food on a couple of occasions and were given wholesome platefuls of good food but disappointed with the curry as it lacked flavour or spice. When I shared this with 2 members of staff they listened but took no action which was disappointing. The same when I spoke on another occasion about the pastry for the steak pie which was hard and couldn’t be cut through which was a shame as the steak filling was really tasty.

Came in here today after a soggy dog walk in the rain. We got such a lovely warm welcome, followed by lovely food and drink. Absolutely couldn't fault it. The barman was so friendly and really made an effort to chat to our young son. Our son loved playing rings after eating. Will definitely be visiting again, thanks for having us ❤️

Amazing pub, we went for a family meal 10 of us, the food was amazing home made, my daughter and nephews loved the out doors play area with the rabbits. Also dog friendly, that was great for us. Can't wait to go again when I'm over to see family xxx

I wish I had taken a picture of our meals. They were so well presented and so tasty. I had the Stilton Ploughman’s, which was so good. Isle of Wight cheese and homemade ciabatta with little tubs of homemade coleslaw, plus piccalilli, pickle and pickle onions. The salad in the middle of the board was wonderful. My Husband had the 5oz gammon, which was also presented with salad, egg, fries mushroom and onion ring. He loved his too. This was our last day and wish we had found it before as we would certainly have returned. Vegans, vegetarians, gluten free - all catered for! Bravo to the lovely gentleman who served us!

Great pub. Amazing food, really enjoyed our steaks and fish and chips. Large portions. We’ll probably choose the small portions next time. Lovely pub inside with lots of locals, who were very friendly, which made it like a proper pub. Outside garden was great, perfect for families. Will be back.

Breakfast visit Friday morning. Greeted promptly by very friendly staff who invited us to sit and browse the breakfast menu. Chose the large breakfast with no mushrooms, served in good time and the food was piping hot and cooked well. Would definitely recommend for a breakfast, and will be sure to return with the family to try out there evening menu.
