Lovely flat car park right on the canal bank. Free to park and toilets when pub open. The food was great value and fabulous food. Staff were excellent. Highly reccomend , 5 stars.
Went today for the first time with a friend had a lovely experience. The curry was amazing but had a very good spicy kick to it. Probably the spiciest curry I've had anywhere it was delicious. The rice was fluffy. The garlic bread starter was lovely. My friend had fish and chips and enjoyed it. The

Closed at 9.00 pm and 9.30pm on our visits which was disappointing.
Traditional village pub in very quiet canal side location. Beer garden on canal bank and a decent sized car park. Pleasant walks and cycle paths along the canal. Friendly welcoming staff. Meal service can be a bit slow when busy.

The building is looking a bit dilapidated inside & out, it needs a good overhaul but food is delicious & staff are very friendly. 1 of the chicken goujons was raw so sent back but was still charged for it and got no apology, so maybe a bit of customer service training in order! Other food was very
Been to this pub before as I work in the area and enjoy the location, the only big problem is the management allowed the locals to take over and make visitors feel unwelcome, seats with no one on them reserved for people that don't turn up, bar stools that are made impossible to get to, I'm buying
Friendly village pub, decent home cooked food. Good selection of real ales. Love this place when we're passing through. On the side of the Leeds Liverpool canal, the foot paths are in the process of being renewed so better walking.

It wouldn't be for everyone but it's a traditional pub with homemade traditional pub food reasonably priced. We had steak & ale pie delicious.We would definitely use again. Also lots of walks along the canal
The place is so nice and friendly, lovely atmosphere and drinks, they let us sleep overnight in our van using their back parking as we were heading back home to the south from Scotland. Thank you guys! 👍👍👍

Nothing major but a good brush up outside at the bottom of the steps would help. For Beer fans always a good choice and lovely.
Lovely food and local real ale,not expensive... very friendly staff, lovely location beside the barges on the canal.. stopped overnight in the motorhome on reasonable flat carpark, lovely and quiet nights sleep, Would highly recommend.
This place has a certain style. Festivals twice a year see photo for this November. Limited draught cider but great ale. Didn't eat here but it looked good from afar. Right on the Leeds Liverpool Canal
Lovely pub with great food. Walked along the canal from Gathurst to Crooke Hall Inn. Very large beer garden on the canal, quite shaded though if you're after some sunshine.
Generous portion of fish and chips washed down with 2 pints of local golden ale. Very reasonably priced and all the staff were very welcoming
It's a great place to hangout as it has a beautiful view as well. It has a canal flowing from rhe backside which gives a great view and also a wonderful ambience.
Stopped overnight here great location, staff and food.
