Had some drinks and all reasonably priced too. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, very talkative and welcoming. I had myself the mixed grill and got my friend garlic bread, loaded fried and another starter, can't remember the name. All in all was amazing price for the food and all was absolutely deli
Lovely little pub, excellent service, very clean and tidy Staff were lovely and asked if we wanted to eat as soon as we arrived We weren’t eating today just drinks but will definitely be coming back for a meal. The food looks amazing. The service is what makes it. 10 out of 10

Staff are extremely polite, cheerful and helpful. Prices are reasonable. Food was lovely. Toilets clean and well equipped. Comfortable seating with a choice of benches or individual seats. Dogs welcome and water bowls provided. They also have a dog food and drinks menu. Only slight niggle was skimme
Great pub, good pints and really nice service. they have a really nice beer garden for when it's sunny with loads of room for people to sit. additionally the inside is lovely as well. and I can't forget the pool table and darts board. overall great pub and would definitely recommend if you're in the
Our local pub, always a great place for a beer after a walk down Haigh hall, staff are so friendly and kind!! My little dog escaped from the garden and the staff here found her and we’re so helpful sharing pictures to make sure she got home safe, can’t thank them enough that’s so much for looking af

Lovely little pub, came here with my sister today. Used to come a lot, pre covid, and enjoyed myself today. Its your typical pub grub, no frills, just home cooked , and quite decent sized potions. Staff friendly and welcoming. Nice, especially if you've just been for a walk around Haigh Hall.
Food was great, staff chatty and helpful and surroundings excellent. If in the area, then go there!!
Love this pub. Great, newly refurbished beer garden to the rear with a nice menu with all the traditional pub classics. Staff really attentive and go the extra to please. Would definitely recommend

Called for an afternoon pint and some food today. Food was amazing and fresh. The home cooked ultimate burger and fries was really nice. Had Grand daughters after christening meal here food was very good traditional pub grub very well priced friendly staff. Would recommend, looks to be a stop off for dog walking dogs welcomed as well.
The mine host was kind enough to allow us to use the car park and, after our 6/7 mile hike, we returned to top up with nose bags and a couple of “Excellent” pints of cask ale.
The food, bear in mind it’s pub grub, was lovely, very enjoyable and phenomenal value for money.

Love this pub. Landlord is so friendly and chatty. If you want to know some local history he’s your man. Good service and traditional pub food. Great stop if you are visiting Haigh hall, out on a walk or bike ride
