What can I say, apart from a huge thank you. You made my wedding!!! Firstly, Your venue is just so lovely, it is not over fussy. Its just down to earth, friendly and really represents a lovely cosy Derbyshire pub. Except its more than a pub, we had total control of how we wished to decorate, with your light and a bit of extra bunting we turned into into a sparkly, beautiful wedding venue of my dreams. The views are spectacular and we had so much room for everyone, it really catered for everyones needs. Now the food, ... Absolutely delicious. The wedding breakfast was so yummy, we had to the ham hock, beef and the chocolate tart which has got to be one of the tastiest deserts I have ever had. The hog roast was fantastic too, everyone loved that and thank you for providing veggie options. Now the people, thank you Lynne. You worked so hard to make sure it was perfect for me. You are so lovely, easy to contact and just made it feel so relaxed. Everything went so smoothly, not a single hiccup in the day or evening, just thank you. Craig, thank you too, your staff and venue made you proud. I had soooo many compliments from everyone, thank you for being so relaxed and generous. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I will certainly be back in the future for some fantastic food. So much Love, Emily and Phill

A welcoming and cosy country pub👍🏻 it’s rather remote so you’d definitely need to drive up. Good range of draught beers and ales🍺 it’s got a wood burning fireplace, making the perfect ambience🔥 Ample parking space available as well

Called in for dinner, found a good selection of beers, had a pint of Guinness, really good, we had dinner with a good selection on the menu, food was excellent, staff are very friendly and helpful, very welcoming, definitely recommend this place, very large car park so no problems with parking, fantastic views over the moors. Ideal setting for a great day. Would very much recommend the Fox and Goose for that something special.

We had our wedding here in April 2022. This place is simply fantastic. A lovely setting, beautiful views and a stones throw from walks in the peaks. The owner (Craig), what’s great guy, he could not do enough, so helpful, accommodating and professional throughout which also filtered down through his staff. The arrangements for the day, on the day and afterwards were all so well cared for. We had a few meals here leading up to the wedding which were always brilliant however they really pulled all the stops out on the big day, the meals were timely, very well presented, tasty and very filling! We could not have had a better day in any way, it was simply perfect. I can honestly say that if it wasn’t for everyone involved at F&G, we would not have had such an amazing experience.

Up marker dining. Good food, freshly cooked. Good service from 2 young attentive waitresses. A bit noisy but understandable with a birthday crowd partying. Good experience and booked for Christmas.

We have just celebrated our daughters wedding at the Fox & Goose and it could not have been any better. From the initial planning stages, to wedding ceremony, wedding meals and, wow, an evening Hog Roast. The service and hosting was exemplary, with nothing being too much to ask. Panoramic views from all angles. What a setting, what a function facility and what a truly professional set of employee's. Craig you must be very proud. We will drop in for a meal in you restaurant again soon. Cheers Mac.

OUR WEDDING AUGUST 2023 Ya Know, when you get past the silly cakes, the pretentiousness of wedding favours, the boring speeches that no one wants to hear and hours of small talk between rarely seen, shirt tail relatives like aunt Maureen who's never had a good word to say about anyone, what remains is two people. Lynn, Craig and the team at the Fox & Goose, never lost sight of that. This , Bride & Groom before all else attitude enabled us to have our day, just as we wanted. Simple, elegant, no fuss and above all else, a bit of fun ! Thanks guys we had an amazing day. Here's to keeping it simple..... Cheers.

Had a very tasty meal here. Some of the younger staff were very good; others looked terrified, bless ‘em. Also mixed up one or two condiments! But not to worry. Food took rather a long time to arrive (I do appreciate it was being cooked fresh, but still it was over 45 mins, and there weren’t many in), and some of the items on the menu were a bit wacky (watermelon salad with strips of Sunday roast beef anyone?), but in all, like I say, a tasty meal.

Great old pub atmosphere with very good food. Love the bar area and the wood burner. Polite and friendly staff. Thanks guys and keep it up please

Had our wedding here yesterday and it was absolutely amazing! The staff at the venue were fantastic and everything ran so smoothly. Food was great, very tasty. If you're looking for a venue we would definitely recommend the Fox & Goose Inn!

We had our wedding here in July and it was an amazing day, Lynn could not do enough for us to make sure the day went as planned and even went above and beyond sorting taxis out that didn't turn up at the end of the night and helped to organise a surprise butterfly release, the food was amazing as was the venue, no hesitation in reccommending the fox and goose!

I just finished my wedding here well I have to say I am extremely happy it was everything and more that we wanted,the views amazing the selection of drink on offer perfect, but above and beyond was the staff especially Lynn and the young girl working with her behind the bar they we so helpful and constantly working with a smile on their faces I work in hosptality and I see when staff genuinely care about your experience I would recommend them to anyone. Food is excellent 👌 Service was prompt. Very busy and we ate late on a Sunday afternoon. As a result various items on the menu were unavailable, which was a bit disappointing.

set in beautiful countryside warm welcome only outside a the moment but staff a really good even supplied blankets to keep you warm, can get cold at the minute .didn't have food but the next table did look delicious home made chips.😋😋
