Love islands. You simply cannot beat dollar tacos after 5pm. Their food is fresh and very yummy, and it always hits the spot.

I’ve eaten at islands numerous times and it’s been nothing short of a pleasant experience. However what really places them above most Mexican styled restaurants is the bar service. Wayne is by far the best bartender I have ever met he’s friendly and polite as well as professional and efficient in his customer service skills. Definitely a place to visit if you are in Wilmington!

Their seasoning is inconsistent between visits, but all that means to me is that we keep coming! The food is great every time so I highly recommend visiting - ESPECIALLY on $1 taco night!

Islands is always fresh and delicious. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu from their favorites to custom the way you like it. Also the taco deal after 5 every day makes for a great cheap dinner for one or the family.

Delicious food, plenty of options, friendly staff and very spacious. I visit Wrightsville Beach/Wilmington 3 times a year, Islands is a definite stop at least on once each trip.

Stopped in for a quick bite during our beach trip. I got the chicken club quesadilla (sans bacon). It came with a side of tortilla chips which I didn't love, but the quesadilla was very good. The service was also very good. The tables and floor could have been cleaner and several booth benches were repaired with duct tape, hence the 3 stars for atmosphere. Overall, a decent experience. I'd return to try other menu items.

I had the nachos and a steak taco. Thought the meat could have been seasoned a little better, but overall they were tasty. I really liked the chips. Would return.
