Italian Bistro

No frills Italian. Very good at what it does, with a few interesting options if you’re feeling a little more adventurous. Like the chicken pesto sandwich, has pastrami, balsamic vinegar, goat cheese, and roasted red peppers, was definitely one of the more interesting Italian sandwiches I’ve had. I think I will opt for something a little more traditional next time because their red sauce is real good. This place will be in the lunch rotation for sure.

So as an Italian and a New Yorker you can believe that I grew up on good pizza. We’ll let me tell you that the pizza here was not only good but it was GREAT! The sauce is not only plentiful but sweet and tangy as I like it. The crust thin and a bit crusty, with lots of pepperoni all cooked just right and this was on a pizza that was on the shelf for slices! I only wish they had a store in Savannah! Keep up the good work I may drive all the way here to try something else! Thanks

Decided to order from the Hampstead location today after reading the lowest reviews from the original in Wilmington and seeing the owner's responses. Didn't even need to check the good reviews before deciding to order. I legit just ate myself sick on this pizza. That Margherita is crazy. When I called, I got put on hold for a few minutes and they either didn't have a hold button or forgot to use it so, I heard a couple of conversations at the front counter while I waited. I taught sales and communication and have to say they handled an awkward conversation with a customer like absolute pros. The girl who took my order was exceptionally nice and took an extra moment to make polite conversation. Small stuff like that is a big deal in customer service. It was, maybe, 15 seconds of conversation so nobody was forced to wait but it made the experience much better. The delivery guy was really friendly and polite as well and they got here faster than I expected. Wish I'd gotten employee names to call them out individually. The food was great. Y'all should remember to separate cold items because my tiramisu was soup once it got here but everything else was so good, particularly the service, that I decided not to even call and let them know. We'll definitely order again.

Small little whole in the wall with fresh, amazing food and wonderful service. The waitress was very enthusiastic and checked on us consistently. The food is to die for! A little on the pricier side but it's worth the extra buck than doing the popular classics. I highly recommend to anyone in the Wilmington/Topsail area.

It took us way too long to get ourselves here! It has a very simple decor- not a fancy date night spot- BUT hits it out of the park for food and service. Sarah took wonderful care of us: professional, knowledgeable, friendly, warm service. We also noticed that all guests were greeted like old friends, leading us to think they were regulars. They have A LOT of regulars, which is always a good sign. And though the indoor dining area is small (they do have outdoor seating), the counter was busy with take-out orders the whole time we were there. Kudos on a well run business, good hiring practices, excellent food, and giving us a fantastic experience!

Italian Bistro was a pleasant surprise. We tried the pizza and drink lunch special and the chicken Parmesan sandwich and fries. It took awhile to get the food, but it was worth the wait. The pizza lunch special was a great price and toppings were only 25 cents each. Tasty crust and toppings. Chicken parm was also excellent with delicious marinara sauce, plenty of cheese, and crispy and flavorful chicken. Staff were always ready with drink refills. Absolutely worth braving the Market Street traffic.
