We had a large company event at Steam and they were very accommodating. We had two large tables next to each other and a set menu to choose from. They were also able to accommodate the vegetarian and vegan eaters in the group. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

My family and I had a great experience at Steam. Our waiter, Landin was absolutely wonderful. It was very refreshing to have a waiter truly care and want to serve us. To be attentive but not pushy! To ensure that what we ordered was on our plates! To take pride in his skills of displaying top notch service, providing us with a wonderful experience. Thank you Landin and we will be back and will absolutely request you.

This was a classy restaurant located in the Embassy Suites. Parking is a bit weird, you have to park in the garage next door and take a little bridge to the second floor elevator, get on and then go to the first floor, wander through a maze of corridors to the lobby, then take an elevator to the right of the front desk back to the second floor to find the restaurant. I guess the restaurant is some kind of open secret because there aren't any signs or anything to let you know it is there, we wandered around for a while before waiting in line at the front desk and inquiring as to where the restaurant was.
The service was very helpful and kind, and I ordered the Caesar salad with white anchovies added, which is unusual to see anchovies as an option. I loved the two hefty croutons because I eat low-carb and don't want to pick them out. I asked for no croutons though. I was disappointed at the fact there was NO shaved Parmesan on the Caesar salad. I thought that was practically the essence of a Caesar salad... otherwise it is just some greens with anchovies. I liked the addition of capers though.
The cast iron scallops were heavenly: they were perfectly seared and not overcooked. Super delicious. The wine selection was unbelievably diverse.
All in all a wonderful experience. Would have given 5 stars if they stocked Parmesan cheese though.

This is a very nice restaurant with a beautiful view of the cape fear river. This is one of the best views of the water in Wilmington. Very comfortable nice tables and booths.
The food was very good(4stars) but it was not great(5). The grits had a great taste but there were lots of lumps. The fries were a bit greasy but tasted good. The shrimp were big and had good flavor but were over cooked. The product and recipes are great just had some execution problems. The rolls at the beginning of the meal were free and very good.
I still would recommend this to a restaurant to try if you are visiting or live in the area.

Service and atmosphere were great. The food was fantastic! We had sautéed shrimp and grits and sweet tea brined chicken. Both dishes were amazing. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. Definitely recommend if you're in the Wilmington area.

Wow, what a view. With the sun setting, sailboats and even when it rained, just an unbeatable view! Great drinks! I highly recommend the bullet with butterfly wings! Delicious food and if you go on a night when not much else is happening in Wilmington, you can pretty much have the place to yourself!

Service was good and the food was tasty. My steak was a tad overcooked but still delicious. We are new to the area and wanted to bring some friends somewhere nice and this place did not disappoint. It did get a little dark in there because none of the lights were turned on when the sun went down. Overall a great experience.

Came here to have a nice dinner before a concert at the Wilson Center. Place was pretty empty with lots of seats available. Everything we are was really good but not the best I have ever had. It is located on the river with a nice view. We were also able to park here while we walked to the event 2 blocks away. Paid 180.00 for 2 steaks, 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, and 1 desert.

The best (and prettiest) shrimp n grits I’ve ever had! And I’m a coastal Carolina girl. Cheers to the kitchen staff! Prices very fair for the high quality of food. I was shocked at how low our bill was and double checked to make sure they didn’t forget to add an item or something. Will definitely be returning to Steam.
