Absolutely tops in local NC BBQ! Quality and savory items. Smoked chicken wings here are my ultimate favorite! They can run out fast. Ribs and sides are drool worthy. Once you start, you will be craving it until the next opportunity. They are low key, but have a bunch of customers coming in and out throughout their Open hours.

Moe’s Original BBQ is my go-to spot in Wilmington for mouthwatering BBQ delights. Their ribs are simply amazing, and the smoked chicken wings are a must-try! The fact that they offer a full bar with a great drink selection is the icing on the cake. Not to mention, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. If you’re a BBQ lover, this place is the place. Don’t miss out!

This is my favorite bbq restaurant in Wilmington. All of the sides are really good. They have sides like Cole slaw, potato salad & baked beans everyday and daily special sides like chili, casseroles, lima beans, black eye peas, mac & cheese etc…. The pulled pork is really good. It is not the normal Eastern NC style but I actually like it better. The slaw is a sweet vinegar style. Taste the same as you would get in cucumbers, onions & tomatoes salad. The corn bread is awesome! The ribs, fried shrimp and catfish are all excellent. The wings are probably the best in Wilmington. You can add a few to any platter. They have a large outside area and screened in area. This is a must try if you are visiting or live in the area.

On our anniversary trip to Wilmington, looking for great food, 2 folks recommended 'Moe's Original BBQ' on Leander. We tried it and it was the BEST smoked ribs, chicken wings, also excellent collards, potato salad & cornbread . It was so good, we purchased a cooler to bring this food home with us. We will return soon to enjoy again. Will try the smoked turkey next time. The food is unbelievably delicious! Try it, you will love it too! Thanks Moe's!

This is a barbecue place, definitely worth the trip. Go out of your way, detour, add destination to your Google maps. Just make sure you get there. Excellent! Pulled pork, baked beans. Have an amazing balance of heat and sweet. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. Portion sizes are reasonable, but on the smaller side for my... Appetite. And this place suffers from the same fate everywhere in the south. Rolls that just aren't that good. Very hard to get good bread in the south. To be clear, that is not a knock on their cornbread, which is excellent.

The place is usually not super busy. The food it pretty good. I can't say there was any one thing that was signature stand out. The BBQ sauce is the mustered kind. Prices are about the same as anywhere. 4 of us ate for around 70$. It's a serve- yourself - drinks (sodas and tea) (they do have a bar area) and clean- your- own- table kind of place. (I don't mind at all, few great places that do the same thing) Food does come out super quick. Good staple if you just don't know where you want to eat out that day.

First time here. The food was great. I had the smoked wings and the wife had the pulled pork. The collards were on point!!! Also reccomend the slaw. Seems to be a pretty popular spot. A lot of to-go orders and pick ups. The establishment itself was pretty cool. Wish it could have been a little cleaner. A lot of dirty tables. Shouldn't be this way since all the employees have to do is wipe them down, you take your own trash to the can. I was a little disappointed in the wait time, but hey things happen. Also, the drinks were in cans because either the drink machine is broken or they simply don't use it. In this case, doesn't look like free refills on soft drinks. The prices are a tad on the high side, but I would definitely eat here again.

May have been the best smoked chicken (on the bone) I've ever had. Great smoke flavor and juicy. Perfectly cooked. The BBQ sauce was sweet peppery with plenty of vinegar. Perfect! Additionally the collard greens and pulled pork were great! Not listed on the menu were the hush puppies. Minced jalapeno inside pushed then over the top. The greatest. Excellent beer selection and friendly staff. My new favorite.
