El Cerro Grande

Just want to say Thank you for a Wonderful evening. We had a Retirement/Birthday Party for 4 of our friend from work and they were able to put 19 of us at the same table. Where they set us up, we had plenty of room to walk around table to talk to others. Our waitress Sol, did an Outstanding job waiting on us! She was patient, kind and quickly took care of all of our request. All of our Food was delivered to our table at same time allowing us to all eat together. The food was hot, delicious and you definitely received plenty of food. So again, a huge Thank you for helping us to celebrate our Friendship together.

***Third Visit*** When you visit Wilmington and you want authentic Great Mexican food with an AWESOME VIBE come visit El Cerro Grande! I’ve completed a couple reviews on this awesome place but the 3rd time might have been even better than the previous two! El Cerro Grande which comes with two enchiladas, chili relleno, taco, tostada + rice & beans! I also tried their Fish Taco’s, Chicken Fajitas, and you can’t go wrong with a cold Michalada or Beer of your choice! Super chill and the wait staff was excellent!

I couldn't stop dancing to the music while eating this fantastic food! My favorites are the enchiladas and pollo a la crema. My son ordered the chimichangas with steak, my daughter enjoyed the chicken tenders and smiley fries, and my husband ordered the chori-pollo. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is great, the food never disappoints! It's the perfect family place and quite affordable.

Went in to place a rather large last minute lunch order with little hope of actually being able to do it. The manager came out and helped me personally figure out how to pull off a taco bar without breaking the bank and said “give me 25 minutes”. Absolutely blown away! El Cerro has always been my go to but this was just above and beyond!

Love the updated look. Absolutely hate the corner booth tables lol but the food and service are always great. They are the only place in Wilmington we've eaten at that sells burrito Mexicanos, it's nothing fancy but it's filling and yummy! We like this location a lot better than the monkey junction location.

Went to El Cerro after work with a friend. Atmosphere: Everyone who worked there was super nice. The music was very nice as a background sound. Not too loud either. It was someone's birthday, so they got sung to and it was warm and lively. Service: The hostesses and the waitstaff were super nice and accommodating. 10/10 would recommend on friendliness alone. Our order: Freebie chips and salsa - all you could eat and the salsa was wonderful! Steak Fajita Quesadilla - Soooo flavorful. Veggies and steak were cooked perfectly. Nice and cheesy queso in the quesadilla :D Chicken chimichanga - My friend said they loved how it was deep friend with the right amount of crunch but wonderfully soft on the inside. 2 small Frozen Strawberry Margaritas - delicious Overall Thoughts: Delicious and reasonably priced food served by nice awesome people!
