Cafe Valentina

Traveling from out of state to find a great pizza shop, I came across Cafe Valentina off a suggestion from family in the area. I loved it! We ordered two large cheese pizzas and two orders of garlic rolls. Pizza is New York style and the dough is made fresh and went well with the cheese and sauce. No plates needed, just grab a slice, fold it over and consume, then repeat. The rolls were covered in garlic & oil. Again dough was very well made. Price was inexpensive as everything mentioned was less then $30. This is the place to go! Service was quick for our order on a Saturday.

I started going here when I first moved to Delaware 8 years ago. Being from New York, it was mandatory for my family to find a pizza place that met our New York standards. If you hate Dominos and Papa John’s and want real pizza, this is your destination. Cafe Valentina is my #1 recommendation for pizza in the area. They have a great menu selection and a cozy dining room. Since I moved out of that neighborhood I haven’t been there and I miss it.

We just discovered this restaurant and wish we had known about it sooner. Customer service is outstanding. Kacey assisted us with special dietary needs and Valentina took our take-out order and made sure everything was perfect. They made us feel like extremely valued customers. The food was fresh and delicious and the garlic rolls are exceptional. It is worth driving out of your way for the wonderful food and service.

Fantastic cheesesteaks!!! I love the local feel. Don't let the strip mall locale dissuade you from going; you step inside and you will swear you just walked in off a Philly street. Staff is very helpful and plenty of regular customers give it a great vibe. Steps up to dining area and corridor to counter is narrow, so it's not exactly wheelchair accessible. I try to go every time we visit Wilmington and I will go back for another cheesesteak!
