I love Cavanaughs! whether I’m in Philly or Delaware my god the food is always fresh and delicious ! The chicken Cesar salad is so good an the chicken is so juice an tender! I loved when they would give out free mask during the pandemic that literally was my favorite part about getting lunch ! Can’t wait to redeem my coupon !

Cavanaugh's is walking distance to my office and I have been eating lunch there for many years. I have never had a bad meal! Every day they have a handful of really good, creative, specials from which to choose. I have had most of their salads and all are really tasty and fresh. The crab and avacado salad is one of my favorites. The roasted red pepepr soup is one of my staples during the cooler months. Sandwiches are always very tasty. And, if you're lucky, they will have the chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting...fluffy and delicious! Staff is friendly and checks on you during your meal. I love the building too. They have maintained the charm of a century old building that once housed a confectionary. Wilmington is very lucky to have this gem of a restaurant.

You talk about a hidden gem.....this place should probably change the name to such. They have such exotic combinations, new specials everyday, and their soups are excellent. In fact, I HIGHLY suggest you ordering one to go for later. The owner walks around checking on the customers. It's just a great atmosphere!
