Kalbi Asian Bistro

Delicious! We have to drive an hour for Korean food and it was well worth it. We bought certainly way more than we needed. Combo 1 is enough for two. The pork belly melted in our mouth, the marinade on the kalbi was sweet and good, and the brisket flavor was really nice! We also got kimchi pancake that had great flavor and the original rice cake dish was nice and spicy. the service was quick and staff was very nice and attentive. Worth the money and the drive and we will definitely be back.

Great experience! My daughter and I went there for lunch today. From the moment we opened the door, the aroma told us we were in good company. We haven’t been to a lot of Korean restaurants, but the staff here were super friendly, and helpful. This is a small restaurant, but the tables and decor were arranged in a way to accommodate a fair amount of seating with plenty of space between tables. The service was excellent, I didn’t even have to ask for a refill. The food was amazing! I had the dolsot bugolgi, the rice was crisp on the bottom, and the kimchi was phenomenal. My daughter had the tteokbokki, this was quite a pleasant new dish for us. Their fried chicken appetizer was very good too, the flavor was amazing the breading was crunchy, and the meat was like butter coming off of the bones. We absolutely will be coming back!

Review doesn't include service or food since we did not receive either after being sat at a table for 25 minutes. The two tables adjacent to ours were seated after us and were waited on, but in a section with three total tables, ours was forgotten. I'm not a local, but I know that if I am ever in the area I'll drive the extra 10 minutes to Newark for Korean food.
