Walt's Chicken Express

It may not be much to look at: just another building in a non-descript strip mall, but man was the chicken great! I drove about 25 minutes from South Philly just to try it and it was worth the ride. Delicious, juicy chicken. I got the white meat with waffles, mac and cheese and collard greens. Everything was excellent. I went on a Sunday and there was only one lady who was working the counter, taking phone orders, and cooking the food. I asked her if she always flies solo, and she said the other employee called out. She handled everything with poise and grace and was very pleasant as well. If the owner is reading this, give that woamn a raise! I'm definitely heading back soon to try some more of the sides and grab some banana pudding.

I was really hungry for chicken and it was the closest in my area. This is the first time I was at this location on carpenter station road I have been to the location in Wilmington in the past but was willing to try this out. Customer service was excellent I was asked if I would like some dessert so I said sure why not since I love dessert well... I tried the dirt pudding , I got Home and it was the first thing I ate and the pudding was old I had a few bites and realized it was off I smelled the pudding and it had a old rotten smell. I was utterly disappointed and did not finish my food. I hope the management can make some stickers to put sell by date on the packaging before handing out something old. I will contact health department to make sure whoever orders from here again will be safe
