Review Les Bouviers Restaurant - Wimborne

Great for a family event. The food was extremely good from this small independent hotel. The service was attentive and very friendly. The venue also serves as the owners home and the property is quite quirky in this regard.

Worst restaurant I have ever been to stuck in a time warp terrible food no atmosphere Avoid this place so expensive for awful night out

I had a fabulous gluten free afternoon tea at Les Bouviers this week! The selection of sandwiches, cake and scones was such a treat and tasted divine. Lovely texture and flavours. Thank you too to Carol for such friendly and helpful service; nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be visiting again!

I went to Les Bouviers for a wedding party and had a great time. The food was great quality, fresh and plentiful. The chief cooked everything on site which is quite a task for a wedding party. My many allergies were also sorted at the last minute (as they were not passed on previously). Wonderful place, lovely cozy place and lots of joy

Wonderful, homely, family friendly place to stay. Owners Kate and James are all you could ask for as hosts. James is top of his game as chef. Food is top class due in no small way to the effort and skill he uses to make all his own sauces and marinades. It was our second time of staying and we will definitely be back again.

I recently visited this fabulous hotel when I was staying for a work trip, I was blown away by the place!!. The owners are warm and friendly. My room was cosy with lovely extra touches such as homemade flapjack and biscuits on a welcome tray.Very comfortable bed. The bar was warm and cosy with a great ambience. Fab food and wine and lovely continental breakfast all included in price.Forget chain hotels. This place is worth a visit whether for business pleasure. Set in beautiful grounds. Sue - Essex

This was our most enjoyable place to stay out of our visit to the UK. Carol, who has worked for Les Bouviers for 27 years, served us drinks in the bar along with some great complimentary nibbles. She then escorted us to the dining room. My husband and I are following the Keto diet so we had to adjust the menu somewhat as we don't eat grains, etc. There was fish which could have worked but we had eaten fish already for lunch and I had seen duck on the sample menu in our room so I asked if that was available. Happily, it was and I must say that my duck was cooked to perfection - pink in the middle yet with crispy skin and beautifully presented on the plate along with some vegetables. My husband's food was equally delicious. Carol served us so graciously and is well versed in the proper etiquette to serve food. The desserts on the menu were not Keto friendly so I asked if they had any fresh berries and whipped cream. They did and it was presented so attractively and tasted so good. It's a little hard to find as GPS was a little off but we managed to find and it is in a beautiful setting.
