Great stop off to break the journey. Good half way point between London and Cornwall. Nice that it is set back from the motorway that you can relax. Got a kids play area for kids to burn some energy. Tasty food and good value. Even got electric charge points right outside and a fuel station nearby.

We were warmly greeted by a member of staff and shown to our table that we had previously booked. It wasn’t overly busy so it didn’t take too long for our food to be served. I ordered the mixed grill which was well presented. The meal was ok apart from the steak which was very tough, almost like it had been previously cooked and reheated, the onion rings were very chewy. The other cuts of meat were fine. The dessert was fine.

Food was lovely, staff were great! The main manager definitely deserves a shout out, there had been an incident and if I hadn’t have been told by a friend in the restaurant I wouldn’t have known as she handled it so well! You could see the situation had stressed her out but she didn’t let it affect her customer service. There were 8 of us out for my dad’s birthday and every one of us enjoyed our food. Prices were reasonable, and so was the time it took for our food to come out. Overall happy with the experience, The Wagtail has definitely massively improved over the years, and I believe you have the staff to thank for that!

Very good food, had the ultimate mixed grill. I can eat a lot, but couldn't finish it, it's huge! But thankfully was able to take the leftovers home. Really would benefit from having air conditioning though as that was the only bad bit.

The staff were very accommodating, and looked after our group of seven with a friendly manner and a welcome bit of banter ! The menu was a typical “Pub Grub” selection, with excellent quality and portions, at a very good price. Any special requests or variations were catered for without any quibble.

Best pub in the area, great beer, great staff, great food and a great beer garden what more could you ask for. Staff are always very accommodating especially Scott, Louisa, Alana, Kylie and Nathan. They also allow dogs and always make a fuss of our fur babies.

We stopped here to charge are car (2 Osprey chargers in car park) service was friendly and quick. Drinks where nice and food was good. 2 4 1 on Sunday excellent value the money we saved on food paid for the charging. Will be stopping here again next time we are driving from Cornwall to London.

Really nice pub with large and spacious seating area and wide range of choice on the menu to suit vegetarians also. Car charger outside for electric cars, making it convinient to grab a bite whilst you wait for the car to charge up.

Phoned up on the off chance of there being a table available and a lovely man called Matt answered the phone and said he’d prepare a table for the 6 of us which he did within 5 minutes. My mum is disabled and I was so impressed with how accessible everything was and clean the facilities were. Him and a lovely waitress called Crystal took our order and were so talkative and friendly throughout. The ultimate southern fried chicken burger is so creative and one of the most delicious burgers I’ve ever had. Well worth the money! Perfect day out!!
