We stopped and asked if we could park there for the night with our campervan as we'd had a few problems. They were very friendly. We had a couple of drinks and spent a quiet night there. Thanks very much!! Really appreciated! 🥰😴

Met friends for lunch and what a lovely meal we had. I was a bit apprehensive as it is part of the Greene King group and our local GK is ☹️. The food was hot, well presented, tasty and a good price. We will definitely be back. Thank-you

We were welcomed once again for a 12+ people gathering for pre ordered 3 course meal even on a very hot day in the kitchen. Thank you for your attention to detail and getting the order perfect and with good timing. Only 4star for food as you are a 'chain' and don't invent your own recipes.

Good community pub! We arrived on a Thursday at lunch time and the welcome was friendly. We loved the Steak Club offers and been tempted by the pub classic offers as well. Still we went for steak and the steak was good. The prices are reasonable also. We liked the cosy atmosphere and the friendly staff. One place we would happily recommend.

Great place for a pint and tasty pub meal. Praise to the staff who were fully capable of serving a group of twenty at once.

The jolly farmer pub is interesting, atmospheric and comfortable. Back in the day people were held on the site before being hanged for a crime . There is a hangman's noose in a frame along with a list of names and crimes. The staff were welcoming, helpful and easy to talk to. We were in a group of 4 with one vegan. There are a few choices for vegans on the menu but a bit restricted with puddings as is found in most places. The food was good, well presented and plentiful. we had no complaints but it is standard greenking so you know what to expect. Good range of ales and great choice of fruity ciders. We would definitely return to the jolly farmer.

A nice cosy pub a short walk away from Winchester station and away from the busy town. Having struggled to find many pubs serving food later in the evening on a Sunday, this place had its kitchen open until 2100.
Roasts had sold out when ordering around 2000, which is understandable and the beef and ale pie was pretty good (very filling but pies always are!).
The drinks were well priced too and they had a few cask ales on including Caledonian Deuchars. The long island iced tea was pretty good too and good value at £5.99.
There was plenty of outside seating too which would be nice on a warm day. The staff were all friendly too. A nice pub to visit and everything was fairly priced.

Great location, wonderful variety of ales on tap and friendly service!

Just stopped in for a pint, it was a really good one if I must say. Great price, and good vibes. Food must be good because most tables were reserved, definitely will be returning in the near future.

Saw some bad reviews and was a bit apprehensive about booking but I think those people were at a different Jolly Farmer to this one!!

Great pub on the edge of Winchester city centre. Parking and affordable tasty food and drink. Always friendly service. Burgers are legendary.

Can't fault it really, food is pretty good for the money charged & the pub is a reasonable size & we'll decorated.
Maybe a little understaffed although the staff are good but likely more to do with us going in on a Wednesday.

Have eaten here several times during past 12 months. Reasonably priced pub food, good menu, friendly service. Recommend to book in advance, especially during weekends.

Went today three of us sat outside, tables and seating area very clean and great condition. Food order took a bit of a wait we were not in a hurry two beef & chicken mix roasts and one italian chowder, well worth the wait it was perfection will go ther again no hesitation, staff attentive, polite and on the ball. There is no ale on the menu just an observation....
Thank you very pleasent.

We always eat here when we are in Winchester. Lovely food. Only downside is that on a couple of occasions we've had to wait quite a while for our desserts, however, they have been worth the wait. Would definetly recommend.

Lovely meal, I had the porky burger, and it was one of the nicest burgers I have eaten. also the mixed grill was very nice according to my husband, worth a visit.

I been going to the Jolly regularly with the family for about 6yrs, as you always get a friendly welcome, but most importantly the food is always really hot, tasty and you get plenty of it and all at very reasonable prices. I can honestly say ive never had a disappointing meal.

Reasonable price and delicious food - we called in after a 3+ hour journey down from Newcastle.
We were lucky enough to do it this little gem as we were heading to the new forest.
Well worth a visit!

Food was Fine, no complaints, son in law, ask if they had bbq sauce, was told yes they did but would have to charge us for it, we spent over £150 on food( as it was a birthday party) and £50 on drinks, really think they are taking the piss a bit.

Very lovely meal today Fri 16th 2018 with my son. Lovely food. Lovely and hot when we got it. Staff very nice. Lovely clean place to go. We will be back.

We booked a table in advance for a celebratory 21st birthday dinner. Three courses; the food was first class and the service unobtrusive but good. This was the second time we've eaten there and will be doing so again in the future.
Lesley Cuell
Food and staff were great, menu was good, hard to choose what to have but that's easy you just go back. Inside decor was really nice, I think that's important as well. So good, going back in the next couple of weeks.
