The Handlebar Cafe - Winchester - Photo album

Really lovely place! I spent the morning walking around St Catherine's Hill, and then sat here for a while with some lunch and a book, and I could happily have stayed all day. I've got some amazing-looking cake to take away too. Definitely worth a visit!
Follow Mr & Mrs R on TikTok. Handy watering hole for the weary traveler. Was very busy, with is an obvious indication of it’s success. Long my you continue.
Tasty coffee and very good food. I had the potatoe and spinach soup which was wonderful!
I've been a fan of the Handlebar Café ever since it was announced as a local community project and I'm delighted to see what a gem of a place they've created at the foot of St Catherine's Hill. The flat white coffee, ciabatta, and blueberry cake are well worth the 5 hour pilgrimage on 2 wheels along
Great stop-off point on the outskirts of Winchester, primarily stopping off for cyclists, but is also for the general public. I like stopping off there after I've done the Itchen Canal Trail from Bishopstoke ( Eastleigh Station was mt
Absolute gem of a place. We stopped by whilst checking out the area for paddleboarding potential and what a great stop it was! The staff were super friendly and chatty and really helpful with local info when they realised why we were visiting. The chocolate orange cake was a big highlight 😋 and the
Really nice café in the middle of nowhere. Extremely well placed for a stop after a walk at St Catherine's Hill or the surrounding area. Dog friendly and space for bikes. Nice view. The chocolate orange cake was divine, like a juicy oversized jaffa cake. Can't give 5 stars sadly as my Victoria spon
Beautiful fresh home made tomato soup, thick and satisfying with gorgeous toasty warm bread! Highly recommend, don't miss it! Cool and calm today after the heat has settled down, it was an hour of much needed peace with hubby x
Stopped off on a walk for a Cappuccino. Was really pleasant - coffee was not very hot. Dog friendly. Friendly staff.
We stopped after walking round st Catherine's hill and had a welcome cold drink and ice cream tub. Can eat in or out. Lovely selection of cakes. Never went inside so can't say about hot selection. A bicycle repair station is also located in the vicinity as cycling is a big part of the area.
A very nice café, strategically placed near key hiking routes along the Itchen. The lemon drizzle and millionaire shortbread were both excellent (although the lemon drizzle could be a bit more zingy). And the coffee was good. Well worth stopping here while exploring the area.
Just popped in hete after my first paddle board session and it was excellent. Lovely scones and hot chocolate. Would recommend if you are walking or on the river. I will be back.
Excellent coffee in nice big mugs! Also enjoyed the toasted tea cake. Lovely views when you sit outside.
This place is in a beautiful location, surrounded by nature and away from the noisy traffic. We stopped for tea and rest as it was a beautiful summer day. The walks through the park are beautiful too. Would come back here for walks, coffee and food.
After a long bike ride or a river walk with or without the grand kids and dog, we often treat ourselves to a cuppa and cake at this brilliant cafe where the staff are friendly and the atmosphere relaxed and cheerful. A really enterprising initiative!
We were on a walk called the water meadows in Winchester, half way round you can stop at this lovely little cafe, it’s currently out door seating only. It’s dog friendly, reasonably priced. We got 2 coffees and a cake to share costing £9. There is also a dog menu. Really cute and good to see they ar
