The staff were exceptional! They made us very welcome without being pushy.
The food was great.
Inn The Park
You can find this lovely restaurant in Winchester's beautiful Abbey Gardens, not far from the office of the Mayor of Winchester.
You can park in Colebrook Street Car Park; there are some disabled parking bays but not many. You can also park and walk in from Chesil St Multi Storey, a few minutes away.
The restaurant has been renovated and decorated to a high standard; it's a cosy place to meet and have a meal.
I didn't have a starter; I went straight to a main course. I enjoyed the Dry Aged Double Cheeseburger & Treacle Tart during my recent visit. My wife had the South Coast Hake Fillet and the Rhubarb & Strawberry Eton Mess for pudding. We also added the Truffle & Old Winchester Fries to share.
Although there are stairs in the restaurant, you can use the lift. If you need more clarification, I recommend contacting them with your questions.
Great place to have food. We were with a baby and had enough space for a pram and the baby which was very comfortable. Steak was incredible, the smoky flavour was distinct. Weren't big fans of artichoke gratin or red cabbage but chips were good. Nice house wine. Would come again!
Had the Menu Du Jour for lunch which was good value, £25 for 3 courses. The slow cooked beef was excellent! And the sticky date pudding was delicious too. Great service, will return
We visited Inn The Park recently and thoroughly enjoyed an evening out in this beautiful restaurant. We dined in the Mustard Room, which had a bit of a more subdued ambience, but there certainly was more of a party atmosphere to the other dining spaces. The service was fantastic, very friendly, warm and attentive, and that really shone through.
We started off with the Charcuterie Board, which was incredible. The quality was amazing, and a lot of it is locally sourced too. For main we both enjoyed Pork chops which were nice, but I felt the accompanying sauce and salad didn’t massively show off the cut of meat. The desserts, however, was where it was at. I’ve never seen a dessert menu where I could have had every single thing! I settled on the Chocolate Pave which was incredibly decadent and delicious, and my partner had the cheesecake, which was beautiful and a bit more fresh than my deep chocolatey pudding.
If you’re looking for a fun night out with a partner or friends, then Inn The Park is a ‘must visit’. The food, ambience and the drinks were stunning, and the service was marvellous! We will be back.
A fantastic afternoon out for a friend's birthday.
The venue is in the middle of a lively park... On the river. It's bigger inside than it looks, spanning 2 floors.
The lounge area was a comfortable place to enjoy some pre-dinner cocktails.
An excellent selection of wines and beers accompanied a delicious menu.
It was a Sunday but the main menu was still available... Not just roasts (thankfully... I'm not mad about roasts from Spring through Summer).
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout service and all the food arrived hot from the kitchen.
I'll be going back!
Very expensive!😮 Food was ok, didnt find it particularly good although it wasn't bad either. We ate in The Mustard room. Friday lunchtime. We had Venetian Rose glass of wine each. Monkfish was grilled - sides had to be ordered separately. I had prawns, again they were grilled and no sides. Sides are charged separately. Dessert was good 😋 Both had Italian meringue & grilled Peach. Service could have been better but ok.
They did have a lift so every floor was accessible and a disabled toilet.
Nicely decorated.
It was only 2 of us for lunch, mum & daughter.
Amazing reception from the front of house on arrival, absolutely awesome food, easily one of the best roasts I've ever had. Starters and desserts also unreal, keep up the awesome works guys and thanks for the awesome display of hospitality 👏👏👏
We visited here as a party of 6 people for Sunday lunch. The food was really tasty and the portion sizes were generous. We were really well looked after by every one we met. We will be back.
We were recommended by the sister restaurant and I'm so glad we were, start to finish we experienced amazing service, hospitality and an experience to not be forgotten. The food was absolutely delicious, crab starter and burrata starter were amazing, but it didn't stop there, we had the sirloin and just wow! A great piece of steak, cooked perfectly, with a classy portion of cheesy chips! What's not to love! We will be back! Thank you to all the team this evening
