Having read all the 5-star reviews, we decided to book a few nights at this property to celebrate our 1st anniversary. Our expectations were exceeded as Caroline and Jonathan made sure that we had everything we needed (and more) to make our stay one of a kind.

The Cedar Manor Hotel is a hidden gem in the heart oof the Lake District. The historic building with it's huge Cedar Tree watching over the decades is perfectly located to offer quiet away from the main towns but close enough to walk into Windermere for some touristy action.

Visited here with my friend today for afternoon tea. We were absolutely delighted. Cedar Manor is beautiful, attention to detail is at the heart of the owners who are such lovely people. A visit to Windermere would not be complete without a trip here, we will definitely be back next year.

The hosts go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible and saved us a nightmare by suggesting a better walk than the one we were planning.
We had a bit of a glitch with the WIFI, which was a hassle - connection seemed slow, perhaps just a one off.

The customer service at this hotel is exceptional. Due to a technical issue there was a problem with my booking. I called the hotel at the early hours of the morning in a panic, waking up the owners and they put me at ease immediately. Did not question anything just did the best by me as a customer
