Excellent fish and chips including a gluten free batter option and great service. I highly recommend The Little Chippy as the best for miles.

I am not a bit fish person but I will say this is the best fish and chip shop around..... The fish is fresh and tasty (not "fishie" if you know what I mean) The chips are the best ever. The establishment is run to a high standard of cleanliness, the food is not greasy at all and the staff are really pleasant and helpful. There is a very large menu to choose from which covers an array of dietary requirements. Well done guys... keep up the good work.

After a day on Windermere cruises, a chippy tea was in order. Great vegetarian menu, friendly staff and even scraps.

Great fish and chips, best I have ever tasted. Setsa very high standard. Really friendly atmosphere. Really fresh fish, always piping hot as it's not left to stand like some places. The chips are perfect. Not a bad word to say about it except that the wine shop next door often causes problems with vans blocking customers view of the street where the little chippy is. Why they do this I don't understand, maybe a little jealousy as there are always people outside the little chippy Sat on the bench eating

Great fish and chips and mushy peas . Like that I can phone up before I get there and then don’t have to wait

Large piece of nicely battered haddock for £6.60. Variety of other options including spam fritters (which don't work as well with the batter as the fish did) and breadcrumb-covered brie. Would revisit.

Was heading back home from the lakes so just searched fish and chip shops near to us on Apple Maps and found this place nearby, glad we did! Me & my partner shared a portion of chips and had portion a fish each, curry sauce, along with battered creme eggs & Mars bars. Perfect portion size and fair price (especially being in the Lakes). Staff were friendly and had a good chat with us while the food was being prepared fresh. Curry sauce was different, but we enjoyed it. Not your normal chip shop curry sauce, it was more like an actual curry! Would recommend & return!

The Little Chippy, our best local chippy in Bowness and Windermere! It’s tucked away down Beech Street opposite Old Codgers Cottage. They offer an amazing selection of food and it’s all so reasonably priced! My favourite order is chips, cheese and gravy and today I tried their battered haggis which was soooo tasty.

Came here this evening after seeing postive reviews definitely recommended!!! Huge portions, delicious and tasty fish and chips! Curry was lovely and fruity. The man who worked in there (don't know if he owned the shop) took pleasure to ask how we was doing and asked us our plans and gave us places to go and visit! Very friendly 5 star service!! Thank you

Hands down a must-try chip shop! The fish and chips is a must have lunch while you’re in Windermere! Lightly battered and absolutely delicious! Grab a side of the curry sauce to dip your fries in - it won’t disappoint! Mark is an incredibly friendly face with great recommendations if you’re looking for walks around the area!

Nice old building with a nice flower display outside. Service was fast and friendly. I just went for a regular chips for 2.30. I was allowed to add salt and vinegar to taste. Good sized portion.

Busy on a Friday night, had the fish and chips for £10 which was great, a good sized portion (not sure if that is expensive or not these days). All menu photos on Google maps were way out of date.

A decent fish n chips. My normal gripe is the tasteless mushy peas but i guess it had less salt! Girl serving was really sweet, polite and hardworking. Keep it up!

Great small chip shop off the main shopping area in Windermere. Ordered the Haddock and Chips. Portions large, plenty of chips 2 lots were enough for 3 of us. Great curry sauce, and good mushy peas. Fish cooked to order with good crispy batter. Was quite busy with small queue
