This is a high class eatery in a very snazzy high class resort next to Lake Windermere. The food is excellent and grill oriented, such as steaks, chops, burgers, pulled pork etc. Next to the lake has excellent views across it. Was great place for a special, but not cheap dinner.
Fantastic venue, fantastic staff, and brilliant food. We had the vegan afternoon tea, and it was great.

A lovely location overlooking the lake. We got a table by the window and loved the views!! The food was well cooked and fresh!! I particularly liked the pan fried salmon as it was cooked to perfection !! The service was excellent and will definitely return for another meal!

We had a meal out here whilst on honeymoon visiting the lake District and it was delicious. We started with the olives and tomatoes and then had the sharer: Blue Smoke Experience - Chateaubriand and whole lobster with a bottle of champagne and it was the perfect meal to celebrate just getting marrie
Came here a few months ago for a Birthday. All the food was excellent and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Definitely a must if you’re in the area.
Wood smoked afternoon tea!! Great variation on the traditional afternoon tea, especially if your not into cucumber sandwiches! Only 25 pound per person and the food was amazing! Definitely worth a visit if you're near Ambleside but book in advance.
The alternative afternoon tea is terrific. Loved the smokey jam with the scones.
