The Gaddum - Windermere - Photo album

Fabulous food, great staff. Location was sublime and to top it off prices were very reasonable, well worth the drive to it
This place is a gem, you want to come here for an unforgettable experience. I will class it as fine dining but we walked in with sport attire with no question asked. Few things to note: this place is hidden away from many visitors. Park at main car park, pay the fee (I will suggest 3 hours) then s
What an utter delight! Such a warm greeting from extremely attentive staff. The food befits the surroundings / decorous & wonderful. We would call out Hugo who was keen we should have a good experience.
Lovely cafe/ restaurant - coffee and scone - yum!
A hidden gem in Lake District. The menu was great, the staff was lovely. The food was well-presented and well-priced and it offers much better value than most restaurants in Windemere or Ambleside. Our 3-course a la carte lunch menu with a glass cost £70, which can be easily cost £120+ in London.
Exquisite afternoon tea 🫖🍰 Amazing sandwiches (truffle cream cheese and cucumber being a surprise highlight!), excellent tea selection and the cakes were divine. Lovely service and beautiful views.
A lovely place to eat at a great venue for an afternoon / morning with the kids. Would recommend eating outside to enjoy the view if the weather is OK!
Great food, value and attentive service.
Lovely atmosphere and food was great
We had an excellent 3 course fine dining lunch here in a wonderful arts & crafts dining room. The food was well presented and tasted lovely & the waitress was very friendly and efficient. We hope to visit again and would definitely recommend
Fantastic food & service - very good value for money. Fish finger sandwich was particularly tasty!
This is the first time I've ever rated a restaurant on Google. I feel compelled to do so because of how wonderful our lunch was. The Gaddum is new and we stumbled upon it. It's both fancy and unpretentious at the same time. They bring you your drinks in the sitting room before taking you to your tab
Made a mistake with my booking but was squeezed in. Staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and even though very busy, willing to give plenty of time. Afternoon tea was outstanding.
A good selection of food with amazing views over the lakes.
5 star lunch top quality food at very good price Second visit just as good Three visits now still 5 stars Fourth time now service food and price 5 star Oh no slipped to four stars on 5th visit
Had 3 courses of good food. Less is more when it came to the menu. The restaurant was less busy than the cafe, so the waitress had more time. So we got great service. Moved to the lounge and got served cake (from the cafe) and coffee for afters.
We enjoyed the most fabulous lunch here. The Gaddum is set within a rather lovely, restored Victorian Arts & Crafts manor, overlooking landscaped gardens with a view of Lake Windermere. Staff service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food I can only describe as divine! Imaginative and
I had a celebration lunch here with a friend during the Great North Swim. The restaurant is lovely and a fabulous treat for fans of William Morris. The dining menu is very good. I ordered sea bass which was beautifully prepared. I saw that you can also get afternoon tea here which looks amazing.
