Was in desperate need for dinner after over a 4 hour journey and we thought we'd give this pub a try. It was a wonderful welcome from the staff and very friendly throughout. We had the homemade pie and the chicken burger, both being excellent meals. Would definitely pop in again!
Great food, great atmosphere, great staff and make you feel very welcome, plenty of food on the plate, even the kids struggle to Finish the smaller portion. Pool table is a little old and unloved but it still works and is good enough for the kids to mess about.
Searching for a meal late on Sunday evening in Windermere - everywhere crowded plus we had our dog with us. 'The Grey Walls' pub promised a place to rest and chill, which was what we really needed, having driven 300 miles that day. Dogs welcome. It was perfect for our needs and we were still able to
Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff! Located in town with only a couple minutes walk in the centre. Rooms were clean and had a plenty of room for putting away belongings. Comfortable bed which meant a good night sleep. Reasonable price rooms in comparison to other B&B in the area. Great pubs
Excellent cosy place in the center of Windermere, and with free parking too. The room I had was quite grand, located on the first floor. The heating was a bit insufficient, however I did not mind that.
The innkeeper is a very friendly person, always on his toes to keep the guests well entertained.
Great beers and cocktails.Try the espresso martini !
Free pool table. friendly and helpful staff: clean comfortable rooms. food is ok too, and prices are very reasonable.
Great location on quiet main road , accomodation at the back of the property no noise of a night time with lovely views. Adequate breakfast for £8 cereals,juice,coffee,toast,Full English. Staff Helpful And Courteous, Would Stay Again.
Lovely cocktails! A bit on the pricey side but lovely cosy seats and warm lamp heaters to keep you warm from the cold. All in all would go again 👍
Amazing food. Genuinely surprised at how good the food was. Chef went out of his way to make a custom dish for me. Absolutely spot on result, much better than most a la carte restaurants.
Amazing Andy the bar manager was so welcoming and chatty. He was made up with our grandchildren and the food is gorgeous will defo go back and would recommend to all families the atmosphere was really relaxed in a very welcoming way
Great food and great staff. Never had a bad meal here and Alan is always on point with the coffee. Definitely worth a visit
Called in just for a pint.
Couple of handpulls so tried a light blonde ale that I can't remember the name of but was pleasant and kept well.
Only about 7 or so folk in on a Thursday night.
Friendly enough staff.
