Called in for sunday dinner ,wasn't sure what to expect due to the poor reviews but pleased to say staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Great pint of Guinness or 2 and the Sunday dinner was A no frills sunday dinner but tasted good,Yorkshire's and roasties spot on .

Staying in White Cross Bay and decided to walk the short walk to this lovely Pub. Landlord/lady were extremely hospitable and friendly. Food was excellent - fresh and very reasonable. Good selection on draft and great atmosphere with character. Would highly recommend!

Staying at White
This is a gem of a place and although short on staff, the team and venue didn't disappoint. Food was fresh and tasty. Epic breakfast and great prices all round. Attic room was lovely and one of our friends were impressed with their room on first floor too. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Really friendly place, staff will advise you how much to order as it's quite easy to over order. We ordered 9 separate dishes lots of soft drinks and a wine and it was only £77 for 4 of us. Everyone was stuffed. Nice atmosphere, family and child friendly and good quality food , kebab was especially
Very modern room, spacious and clean. Staff very friendly, breakfast was the only let down, very over cooked (hence the 4 star) but all round good experience. Would stay again, just wouldn't go bed and breakfast.
Lovely owners who are very attentive and interested in their guests. Room was very nice and clean and had very comfy beds ( my kids loved the bunk beds ) we also had an evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant which was freshly cooked and tasted lovely.

To be perfectly honest first time in the hotel for food. But I have just had the best hunter's chicken, i have ever had. Absolutely stunning.
Popped in for a few late afternoon drinks after walking all day. Awesome beer. Awesome old pub. Very friendly Landlords. Would highly recommend. We were staying at White Cross bay holiday park and it only a 15 min walk. Highly recommended
A no frills, venue which was all we wanted for our breif stay at a fair price.
Extremely dog friendly, comfortable cosy venue with the warmest of welcomes from the manager.
Obviously dated but our room was clean and comfortable.

Previous hotel cancelled is 3 x motorclists same morning re their COVID. Sun Inn accepted us at v short notice. Loads of parking, huge venue, very welcoming staff. Apparently just took over and making a positive impact. Very friendly. Comfy bed. Cracking English breakfast
Had a lovely meal on our last night of the holiday, fantastic food and brilliant service. Will definitely be back next time we visit The Lakes.
