Brockhole Cafe, Brockhole-on-windermere - Windermere - Photo album

Wonderful day out, they pulled out all the stops to make it special for families. Halloween decorations and experiences were superb if not a wee bit scary (haunted forest). Chris the magician and professor pumpernickel were excellent! £96.00 might seem expensive, but for a family of 4 who expected
Really quiet when we were there,so no issues in parking. Looks a great place for children with zip lines, clay pigeon shooting, archery and of course the lake activities. These all need booking beforehand. We walked all the paths and enjoyed the surroundings. Parking cost was £3 for 2 hours,so not bad
Beautiful site on edge Lake Windermere. Run by Lake District National Park. Lots of activities for kids and adults , charges apply. Can swim in Lake lots little access points. Water v clear. Cafe/restaurant up at big house serves brunch/lunch..Scones yum! Can meander around walled garden and woodlan
We've been on holiday in the lakes for 2 weeks and spent 2 different days here, the park is great. Our girls did the treetop nets and loved it, we had 2 hours or time out while they were safe in the nets too which was a real treat 😁 the place is well kept, the cafe is over priced, the lake activiti
This is one of the most beautiful places I ever been in the UK! I didn’t get inside the castle, but the garden! the view over the lake! and the tremendous amount of activities in this greenery is just amazing!!! The stuff were very nice too. I had my father with me who’s 80 and his walking ability
This is an amazing place for the kids. So much to do we had to split it all out over three days. Some would say the activities are a little expensive but I saved up for this holiday with the intention of taking the children on multiple activities so wasn't much of a shock when I needed to pay the co
Pretty little establishment located by the lake. Heaps of activitie; archery, clay shooting, lake boat rides, tree-top adventures. Can imagine that this place would be good for families with children. There is a cafe and quaint gift shop located all on the same plot. We visited on a whim but would w
Good for family with kids due to nice playground with clean toilet within the outdoor playground. Many sitting areas for the parent or picnic. No entrance fees, just small fees for the parking. Short nature walk along the coastal, and water sports available before 5 pm. I arrived in the late evening
Awesome family park! There's something for everyone, with a wide range of activities suitable for all ages. The Krazi Karts are an absolute blast; we had so much fun racing around the track. The staff was super friendly and made our visit even better. We'll be coming back for sure!
Fantastic park with plenty of parking, a ferry to various places, various boat hire, tree top trek, lovely gardens and lots of activities. Highly recommended. Avoid Bowness and go here instead
Great visitor centre, lots to do. Shame they only have one motorised scooter to hire, but was worth the wait, as made the whole park accessible. The adventure playground was amazing - the children really enjoyed the different obstacles. The paid for activities were quite expensive but looked like go
Great place to entertain the kids for a day. Lovely grounds for the adults. Don’t expect to see any Arts and crafts items, there isn’t any and the gallery upstairs could be so much better. However a well run place and a must if you have children to entertain.
Fabulous place to visit for all ages! From tranquil garden to adrenaline rush of zip line there's something for everyone. You can even take a trip up the lake to Ambleside or across to Wray Castle on a cruise boat. Great adventure play park with toilet and picnic beaches. Tree top nets are an amazin
This is the venue for the great north swim and it is very beautiful. The house and gardens are particularly well kept and held lots of inspiration for me as an inspiring gardener. We got there via public transport from Windermere. The car park on broad Street has an early bird special. If you get t
Lovely place on the shores of Windermere with stunning views across the lake. Plenty to do for kids to spend half a day or more, it has a nice house and gardens and a kids play area, treetop trail (bit pricey) cafe, gift shop, woodland walk ( Halloween themed while I was there) archery, go karts, c
Good experiences to be had here. We did the tree top nets which the kids really enjoyed. But why oh why do you have to pay for parking. You're already spending a lot by going anyway. And charging an online booking fee is another negative for me.
Loved the Halloween spectacle as always. A little less restriction on times would be easier but queues were reasonable and well managed.
Great place to see the natural beauty of nature and activities for the family.
Brilliant day here, excellent facilities. We did motor boat hire and mini trek - fantastic. However there is a big wasp problem near the bbq and shop - spoilt lunch, there was SO many, couple went in our drinks. If you're having food I'd recommend going to the patch near the boat hire which has fewe
