The Flying Boat

What an amazing stay we had here. We were located in Deer park in a two bedroom caravan. The park itself was quiet and peaceful. Parking directly outside caravan. The caravan itself was clean and tidy but could do with a bit of TLC nothing major. The location is perfect just a few mins drive from Windermere. We would definately stay here again if visiting the lakes.

Had a lovely break. Nice area and easily accessible to bowness, rydal and ambleside. Really scenic area with short walks close by. lovely and quiet too. Nice bar and atmosphere. Staff are friendly and put you at ease. Very dog friendly. Didn’t use many of the facilities but the swimming pool was a decent size. There is a small amusement area for the kids too with kids parks too. The caravan was spacious. Generally clean although it did look a bit worn. The heating wasn’t working either due to low pressure which we sorted but think this should have been picked up beforehand. Also we weren’t left any information in the caravan either about the heating, cooker etc which would have been useful. Aside from that the caravan was ideal for our stay - comfortable and spacious.

Lovely site. Nice accommodation. Unfortunately the rain ruled the week.. would come again but later in the year. Plenty of wildlife in the park. Rabbits, owls, squirrels and deer in the fields near the dog walking area. The one thing I would mention is WiFi access. Only available in the main complex. Our accommodation had two routers but no WiFi access.

It is a very competitively priced lodge, Lakeside location with lovely views and walks. The overall experience so far has been positive and the team are definetly trying there best but it falls short in miscomunication between staff and the resort. After asking staff about activities they gave us times which were incorrect the online service was also incorrect the only information on activities that is correct is a TV screen out of site in the bar near the entrance. All that aside. It is lovely

Excellent stay at this park and it's a good base to explore the surrounding area and walks. The park itself has a bar, kids entertainment and swimming which is good. Bar and food was a little expensive. The lighting around the park could be much better as at night time it's way too dark with it being nestled in the forest. The Boretree lodge we stayed in was fantastic and would recommend.

Great area, lovely caravan, not enough staff at this resort regardless of time of year, it was a weekend so surely they should have more staff working. Lack of change for arcades and restaurant was shocking no £1 coins. 1 staff member trying to run the restaurant and arcade at 1 point which is not fair on that m

Lovely place. Great lodge we hired and super location. Make sure, if eating in the resort, to get early as it fills up quickly and our food was over an hour late. So if you have kids it's a long wait. Entertainment was good though. Watch out for busy times in the pool, it's mental. Lockers are tiny and don't need money, cubicles all large.
