Went for some drinks..nice chilled out place..quite a lot of people for a tuesday night..had some cocktails..pornstar martini and bellini..liked bellini though martinis had fly in them!!! Which was a turnoff..the bartender made a new one but it had too much passionfruit..but was nice..liked the vibe of the bar..

I love Windsor. Partly because it’s both Windsor and, after a skip over the bridge, Eton. We went last weekend for lunch at Browns, Windsor but before we ate we had some exploring to do. As a compact town there’s plenty of wandering around shops that can be accomplished in no time at all but we opted for grabbing a drink and promenading up the Long Walk. On a frosty morning, looking back at Windsor Castle with a warm coffee in hand it was really rather beautiful.

This place is an institution. I have visited this place a few times in my past trips to the UK. Last night's team dinner was held here. The place was busy but not as packed and happening as my previous visits. Ambiance was still good - chilled and lively.

We started off with some wine, then proper dinner. I had a three-course meal, starting with pulled pork and pig cheek rillettes, then pan-fried sea bass fillets and finished off with the bitter chocolate brownie with ice cream.

The rillettes were tender and easily shredded. It is similar to pâté but with not as fine a texture. It came with a multigrain toast and apple butter. A spread of it on the toast with some apple butter was a good combination. The rillettes had this rich pork and fat flavour while the apple butter was lightly salty and sweet.

I initially thought of pork belly for mains but decided to go for sea bass instead. The fish was fried well. It was moist and easy to flake but with the skin remaining crispy. It had a mild but well balanced flavour. It was served on a bed of pearl barley risotto with some mushrooms. The barley risotto was ok. It was chewy and with decent flavours but I felt it would have gone better with rice risotto.

For dessert, I also made a last minute change from the salted caramel profiteroles to brownie. The former looked more appetising but the brownie wasn't a bad pick. The brownie itself was moist and not too dense with lightly bitter chocolate flavour. The ice cream was covered with peanut brittle, if I am not mistaken, which gave it a nutty taste which went very well with the brownie. After having a starter and main course, the serving felt too much for one person. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish this dessert.

Overall, Browns delivered which guaranteed more visits from me in the future.

By the banks of river Thames in Windsor. Large place with a out door seating which is why majority of patrons go there.
Had fish and chips golden crust and a juicy fillet of cod inside. With puréed peas and mayo. Good taste
Pan seared scallops with rosemary
Nicely decorated plate and the scallops were done beautifully.
Crabs with tarragon
Did not take a fancy to the dish.
Ambience surely wins over in this place.

Located in the Windsor region, which is a popular tourist place, this huge outlet-bar cum restaurant with an amazing outdoor seating attracts a lot of people. Summer evenings indeed are the best time to visit as you get to enjoy the awesome weather.

Ambiance undoubtedly will win your heart, especially if you are fond of enjoying the weather with a glass of chilled beer. The decors are super relaxing to give you that soothing feeling.
The menu was pretty limited, to just the basics. We ordered Tempura Battered Onion Rings, prawn cocktail salad and Mushrooms along with Ice Teas and Glass of Chilled Beer.

The water deserves a mention too. Our serve turned a plain glass of water to a amazing one by adding fresh mint leaves, a lemon wedge and a straw.

The salad was quiet refreshing with appropriate amount of dips and dressings. The Mushrooms were sautéed in white sauce and cheese sprinkled with herbs and served with pastry puffs on the top. The dish was quiet impressive but a little too bland for the Indian Pellet. The tempura battered onion rings had the crunch intact and the mayo dip complemented the bland taste well.

One of the best evenings I spent in London enjoying the weather with the right people, right food and wonderful  ambiance.

This is a restaurant and a bar. I visited the bar/pub side one afternoon then went back for dinner the next night on the restaurant side. The food is delicious and they have a special menu if you get there prior to 7pm during the week. I added a photo so take a look. 2 items for 12.95 (pounds for my American friends so do the math) The steak is an extra charge, but less than 2 pounds. I'd give it 5 stars but both times I went in the staff couldn't get my order correct. They were friendly and attentive but just a bit of a language barrier. I speak English and they do in Great Britain but many of the staff comes from other countries and English is an added language. Again, they were kind but waiting for a corrected order while a friend has theirs isn't fun. I ordered the butternut soup and it was "spot on", delicious and almost a meal in itself. I was almost full just from eating the soup. It was super yummy but I did add a little bit more salt and pepper but I do like things extra seasoned. I ordered the Steak Frits for the main. The steak was cooked perfect and super delicious. It came topped with a garlic butter seasoning on top and with a little side of salad on the plate. It was a really delicious meal and the dessert menu looked amazing but I was completely stuffed. This location is amazing. On one side you can see the Windsor Castle from the hilltop above. On the other side you can see the River Thames as well as the river cruise boats passing by. This is a great location and I would have loved to sit outside but it was February and too cold. There is also a second level (upper deck) which is probably amazing also. .

My wife and I stopped in here for breakfast on a Friday morning before heading to Windsor Castle. I noticed that there are quite a few subpar reviews of the Browns, but they look to be from several years ago, so I thought I'd give an updated review. Our experience was top notch! When you enter, you're greeted with lightly playing jazz piano in the background. There is great lighting, patio seating, and plenty of tables for even a busy morning. My wife ordered the smashed Avocado Toast with eggs and I ordered the traditional English breakfast....the best breakfast we've had in the UK so far- the sausage and bacon was somewhat smoked and not at all too salty. The breakfast was also very reasonably priced, about £20 for two with coffee's. Considering that an average hotel breakfast is about £12, this is a much better alternative! I'd give the service just a 4/5 though as they are a bit slow to bring the bill after they've cleared the table. To be fair though, that's not abnormal in the UK. Atmosphere- 5/5 Value- 5/5 Flavor- 5/5 Service- 4/5

I can see where diners would be annoyed with the family atmosphere. It's got a definite quiet more romantic vibe then every table has a child full of energy trying to make it through dinner with their family. The lamb meatballs were good. Sauce was amazing. My burrata ravioli special was great. The half chicken was cooked perfect. The butternut squash side was amazing. I'm a fan.

The full English traditional breakfast is amazing! Perfectly done everything. High quality meats, perfect eggs, amazing tomato (seasoned to perfection), and the most delicious butter for the toast. Yum!!!

Came here for brunch on a Monday when hubby and I had a 6 hour layover in London. They had just opened so we were the first ones in and it was very pleasant. Service was great. Food was good and definitely better than we expected on a whim.

Had afternoon tea here with friends after touring the castle. Very nice tea service. It is not as high brow as Claridge's in London but it is very nice at less than 1/2 the price. Staff were very pleasant and professional. Very enjoyable experience. Would definitely return.

I had just landed at Heathrow and it was lunchtime. Mr. Snarky asked if I wanted to have lunch at T3, somewhere along the way, or in Windsor. I wasn't *that* desperate, so off to Windsor we went. As we parked, I took note of our food choices. Some of our other choices didn't look open, so to Browns we went. It is a cute restaurant, although the service could use some work. Tables are also very close together. This is important because there is very little room to maneuver... salty looks from the lady at the table behind you or a waiter that smacks his tray right into the head of a guy at the table next to you. It happened. That said, I think both Mr. Snarky and I were pleased with the options on the menu... including the prices. We were going to have a starter, but since we couldn't make a decision, we just decided to order. He had the Sausages and Mash and I had the Bubble and Squeak... and we had a cheeky order of chips. Yeah, carb overload. My excuse is that it was chilly and rainy outside... I would need the insulation! The food came out and it looked lovely. My Bubble and Squeak was wonderful! It said that it came with a Balsamic Vinaigrette, but I didn't taste that, however, I don't know that it was a bad thing. The poached eggs were lovely and the yolks made for a lovely "dressing" on everything else. And the chips were really good too! Service is a bit on the slow side, but other than that, I thought it was good value for money.

We visited for lunch on a busy bank holiday Monday. This place is huge! The staff were looking after everyone well. We ordered Teriyaki Chicken Skewers and a Burger. Couldn't really fault it, but didn't blow us away. I can imagine this would be a lovely place for a large group for an evening meal. Lovely outside area for when its sunny.

Browns holds a special place in my heart as it's the last restaurant I dined in with my dearly beloved late mother. So it was a lovely surprise that my fiancee had chosen there as the venue for this years birthday celebration. Thankfully I'm please to say it was a great evening with my fiancee and family. Good old British weather didn't dampen the occasion in fact it added a golden hue of reflection and memories. Although fairly quiet in the restaurant and bar the atmosphere was very warm, friendly with just the right amount of attention from the host and waiting staff. (Only thing worst than being forgotten or ignored in a restaurant is over attentive waiters, asking how's the food before you've swallowed the first mouthful) Our waiter was professional, well mannered and took time to address my fiancee in her mother tongue... Nice touch 😄 All three course were beautifully presented and tasted fabulous. Topped off with a cute "Happy Birthday" slate dessert freebie for the Birthday boy... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Decent place to go for a drink and food. 4 stars because if the seating it was too close to the other table. Prices are decent as well and they have a whole range of alcoholic drinks with nibbles. Worth sitting outside if the sun is out.

Lovely lunch on the terrace. We had a slight delay with my wife's Chicken Schnitzel , but she enjoyed it very much. I had a Harissa Lamb Rack. It was nice too. For dessert we had a Sorbet and a Dessert Trio ( the brownie is out of this world ). Star of the lunch was our waiter Mihail from Romania 🇷🇴 , who offered a complimentary meal for the delay . He was funny and engaging, and provided an excellent service. Browns is lucky to have him. Overall a great lunch. Highly recommend! 👍

Booked Brown's Windsor for a group booking of 46 people who were attending a seminar. We had the whole upstairs area which was great. The food was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful. Bit of a long wait between the starter and main but we were a big group so understandable. Only negative was the minimum spend was a little high at £4000. Pretty sure we were well below that with a 3 course meal for each person and plenty of pre ordered drinks.
