Great atmosphere, wonderful wine and food with a decent range of price options. The owners are a lovely couple who are big supporters of local live music and you can often catch a sweet set there.

We had the Nudleauflauf (German version of Mac n'cheese) and Currywurst for a late lunch, paired with a Willm Alsacce Pinot Blanc, I cannot begin to describe how delightful the meals were, made to order, delicious, well presented, and did I mention delicious!
We followed the meal up by splitting an apple strudel, made by the owners mother, very enjoyable, also pairs well with the pinot blanc.

We visited on a 'Pizza Wednesday' and the restaurant was kind enough to arrange a gluten free option for one of our party with just a few hours' notice. The service was excellent - welcoming and attentive, and I was really impressed with the food. Never would have thought potato on pizza was a good idea, but the 'Paddy pizza' proved me wrong -- delicious!

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Wine Grunt! The atmosphere is wonderful. There was LIVE MUSIC ( which was excellent). The wine was, of course, top notch, and the food was good. We were there on a very busy night, and they were short staffed. Even though, or server was spectacular and we felt very well attended to. I highly recommend this lovely spot!

Had an amazing experience here with my boyfriend and his mom. We stopped in for lunch on our way to some vineyards in wolfville. The owner was wonderful, very engaging and knowledgeable about the local wine offering. We will definitely return!

A lovely little spot to have a drink and spend the evening. Their wine list is extensive and reasonably priced, plus their live music is great. Every time we pop in we wonder why we don't go more often.

Winegrunt is top tier even by downtown Halifax standards and it’s in the small town of Windsor! Unbelievable wine and beer selection, delicious food, warm cozy environment and frequent live music. What more do you need?
