The City Grill - Windsor

I went here a few months ago with my boyfriend. It was our first time in Windsor and we stumbled upon it. Our waitress was AMAZING. I wish I had remembered her name. She was very nice and worked around our dietary needs and changing our orders around. Our experience was great. The good was very delicious as well. Atmosphere was great but since it was later at night, it felt lounge-y than a restaurant. Still a good time.

Hosted our wedding reception on October 6, 2017 at The City Grill. The entire experience was fantastic! Tanya was such a huge help and so organized with making sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. The night of, the food was amazing and the service was stellar. The dj had the dance floor packed with his music, and I am still getting compliments on everything to do with the meal and the beautiful venue. I can not sing their praises enough for how great everyone involved was.

We came here for a Christmas party. Sadly, our service was quite poor. We didn't get any bread served to the table and after about 30 min we asked for it and she did not make it easy for us to get any! It's complimentary bread! We waited a long time for our meals and when they finally came it was not too impressive. I feel that this is over-priced for the qualityof food and especially for the quality of service!!

My husband and I recently got married at The City Grill. Working with Tanya was a dream! She responded quickly to my questions, was accommodating and creative. We had our service and reception all under their roof, it was a modern event with an exquisite venue of 100 people. Our guest raved about the food and the bartenders kept the drinks flowing. If you are looking for a beautiful venue with delicious food and amazing drinks I would look no further then the City Grill.

We were a party of four and looking forward to our dinner at the City Grill. Strange to be the only guests on the whole lower floor. The service was friendly and professional. Good wine menu. Appetizers ordered. 3 of us ordered soup and one caesar salad. The chowder was delicious, the salad .... well I am not sure how to describe receiving 3 small heads of romaine drizzled in caesar sauce, piled like a tepee, a rasher of bacon and a whole anchovy, and 3 puff pastry pieces on a plate, it was very artfully done. But puzzling. Some things do not require art to enjoy. I love a real caesar salad, remember when it was so artfully done, not with this creamy sauce but olive oil, fresh egg, etc. This was awful, bitter lettuce too. Traded it for the soup. Nicely done thanks to our great waiter. Our entrees served next , one surf and turf, one boar, two chicken wellingtons. Chicken wellingtons tasted ok but so dry, could not eat much of it. The surf and turf was disappointing and the boar so, so. I don't think any of enjoyed our entree. But no worries, celebrating two birthdays gave two guests complimentary desserts. They were enjoyed. Would not go back to this restaurant. Overall, overpriced and disappointing.

Our Hotel Dieu Nursing Class of 1964 celebrated our 50th reunion on Saturday September 20th with dinner at the City Grill.From the planning ahead of time to the execution of a special menu with the help of executive chef Shawn McKerness it exceeded all expectations. 24 of us were able to gather in the privacy of the party room ,which is so comfy and cozy. The wait staff was extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. The meal was awesome. I can't say enough about how pleasant the whole evening was due to the standard of excellence of the meal and service. . Comments from some of the 24 nurse attendees were "Oh my gosh! I have never tasted scallops as good as these " (Scallop Crudo) :This food is to die for" "Every thing was fantastic" It truly was a memorable evening. Thanks to every one at the City Grill for making it so special.
