Great community pub. The outside areas are really nice, a bit different. Live music on occassions makes the pub even more inviting. Always seem to be trying new events which is a good idea to see what customers like and make them want to return. The inside of the pub is very open, even classroom like. Hard tables and chairs, lack of comfortable seating and brightly lit means it lacks "atmosphere". Have to ask for top up on very large head pints every time. They do top it up but really should know that a pint should be a pint or at least served with only a small head.
Great selection of drinks, cheaper than town. Reasonably priced food. Friendly, knowledgeable the cider is exceptional.
I love their policy on animals. As long as they're under control and not yapping, they're welcome, regardless of species, a great festive menu
Pleasant urban pub situated down a quiet side street on the way to the river. Difficult parking as in a residential parking zone. Pub is community run and so not surprising that it has a good atmosphere. Well laid out bar and garden. Two cask ales on offer and both tasted fine if a little cloudy. Kept having to ask for pint to be topped up and no lemon for gin and tonics. Easy things to fix to get the extra star!
Visiting my old stomping grounds in the UK again and had to recharge my eleccy hire car before returning to the airport. Had an hour to kill so googled 'best local pub' and this one came up and was around the corner. Best charging hr I've ever spent! Chilled, friendly place and love the local community vibe it has going. Didn't eat so no score for that, but can local beer was great 👍
Excellent community pub. Great beers from Windsor & Eton brewery. On the evening of my visit the pub was hosting Day #3 of the Winddor & Eton Living Advent Calendar.. which was a real treat in itself. Burgers & Hotdogs flamed on a BBQ were on offer served by fabulous staff and volunteers. Definitely worth a visit.
Really good local pub. If you have kids and the weather's nice they have some old games out the back like table tennis and foosball. Not bad selection of beers. Staff were also friendly and the food wasn't bad either.
Great community pub. Saturday morning at The Swan operates Windsor Cycle Hub where you can bring your bike for a quick maintenance check and then join one of their bike rides (different levels of ride from beginners to experienced). Also great selection of real ales (mostly from the local windsor and eton brewery) and coffees.
