Review Lockdown Loaves - Winterbourne

Just found this place and had the best croissants we have eaten in our entire lives. Absolutely delicious, light, airy and crispy and buttery. No need for any butter or jam, just delicious on there own. Now on to the sourdough... :-)

An absolute gem in the community. I love that they try out new products on Sundays! You can tell that they strive to put out the best bakes possible and I find them to be consistently bangin’. Lemon meringue pie, pain au chocolat, and cinnamon twists are top notch. A must try if you’re in the area!

Absolutely incredible pastries! The crossiants are huge, flaky and so buttery they are our favourite in bristol and we highly recommended the affogato!
Bonsai Kitchen
As an established and thriving restaurant, we took all of our staff to the bakery and were blown away by the level of skill and expertise when it came to textures and flavours. Everything was incredible and the staff (especially Hannah) were all super super friendly. Great selection of both sweet and savoury items and the coffee was to die for. Would give more stars if we could! Cannot recommend this place enough!!

We buy Hannah’s product regularly as a treat, the standard of baking is beyond excellent, they seem to focus on a smaller but amazing selection of baked goods. The Sourdough is 👌🏽 a great bakery for the village and the coffee is awesome. I often treat my staff and they all love the baked goods. The scotch eggs are a particular favourite. I can’t believe some people could rate this badly, probably after a greggs ;) the rhubarb and custard Is also brilliant.

Never been here before. It was good but nothing to force me to rush back over any other similar bakery. The place looked a little 'flat' in terms of lay out and design but the service was excellent and the Sausage Roll and Lemon Meringue Pie (in particular) was phenomenal.

Fantastic sweet treats and bread - looking forward to the ice cream machine working

Lovely staff and the best chocolate almond croissant I’ve had outside of the south of France.

The best bakery on Bristol! We've been popping in weekly (or more) since Hannah and her great team opened last year. The food is AMAZING. We highly recommend the scotch eggs, mince pies, sour dough, cookies (best thing ever according to our little ones), egg custard tarts - and more! You are getting top quality pastries and treats so it's not the cheapest food but it's not unrealistic or unreasonable to pay what you are for what you get. Take my money now! :-)

Best coffee I've had for a long time, and a really tasty cinnamon bun.

I've tried a lot of sourdough bread, and can get heartburn if I'm not careful. The sourdough here is wonderful, but you have to be quick to get it. It has a great raise, crumb and lovely blistering on the outside, slices well and smells wonderful. I hope my starter gets like yours one day but I'll never match your oven! A little pricier than normal, but then you get what you pay for. If you like real, fresh, top patisserie style (not mass produced) Croissants and Pain au Chocolat, then give them a try. The scotch eggs are runny in the middle and the sausage rolls are devine but as I said you have to get in quick before it's too late! Need to try the other delicacies but my eyes are bigger than my belly here!

Chocolate and almond croissant was delicious. There was no bread and the selection was quite limited on Saturday before 11am

Hands down best best pastries you'll ever have and I love me a pastry!...if you're wondering what to buy, the almond croissant or biscoff babka everytime! The afternoon doughnuts are also amazing...which can now be ordered as ice cream doughnuts...who knew they could get better...Oh and she's started doing these biscoff or oreo brownies on the odd occasion...dear god help me!
