Despite being surrounded by great pubs and restaurants, for special occasions, and just because we can, my partner and I always come back to the Lamb and Flag for a guaranteed superb meal. The food is always delicious, and we have pretty well gone through the entire menu. The burger and the belly pork are particular favourites, washed down with good beer, and although we always think we're full, dessert cannot be resisted!! The landlady and the staff are always friendly - and will even put a candle on your dessert if they know it's your birthday!! Absolutely love the place. Very highly recommended. Update; October 2023. Such is the confidence we have in the pub, we had our wedding reception here. 40 of our family and friends enjoyed one of the legendary roasts, and now all are very envious that this is our local! A huge thanks to Gina, Dennis, Susan and all the team for making our day such a success.

We're long term repeat visitors to this fantastic pub, and decided to have our wedding reception here, roast dinner and dessert for 40 guests. Well, as always, the experience was fantastic, now x40. Gina is always a great host, and Susan ran things like a tight ship. Feedback from all our guests was that the roasts were the best they'd ever had in a pub, and the ambience was great. We concur, we were confident booking the do with Gina, and she couldn't have been more enthusiastic to have us. Her husband Dennis did us proud with the cooking. Bravo to the team, you made our special day even more special.

Exceptional service! The staff are truly wonderful. They are helpful, professional, kind, courteous and take the extra steps to make this a lovely dining experience. The food is very flavorful and delicious. This menu has something on offer for all and we've tried something new each time we've visited; 2x thus far. The space, like the staff and cuisine are warm and comforting. Call and book your table for small or larger groups, you will not be disappointed! We look forward to our next visit.

We visited this place today for Sunday lunch, outstanding food, staff, location and a beautiful place. Our dog had her own tub of doggy ice cream, we sat in the well maintained gardens. Highly recommend, definitely be returning when we're on holiday in the area again. Thank you all your efforts are appreciated.

Been past loads of times but never realized what we were missing out on. Called in on a Saturday dinner a lovely friendly greeting shown to table and orders taken all with a cheerful smile. Now then yes there can be a short wait but when the food arrives it is stunning in the meantime take in the atmosphere of this gem in the middle of nowhere. Onto main course well worth the wait and very tasty. All in all a good call and will definitely revisit. Admittedly it is not cheap But you will get value for money. Well done Team cracking job well done.
