Lovely meals at lunch today. Fish was fresh and very tasty, homemade burger delicious and the scampi was also great. First class food and fantastic value for money , will definitely recommend. Thanks to chef Ben peck who did a smashing job as always
Had a Sunday lunch yesterday, I had belly pork and my better half had beef. Both were beautifully cooked, very generous portion sizes and the staff were friendly and attentive. I will be going back again soon as dying to try the creme brulee but had no room left for a pud. Stunning
food was lovely .restaurant clean. Friendly staff .Had to wait quite a while for food but it was worth it .There were 4 of us and 2 had steak and ale pie and it was full of tender steak and tasty .and 2 of us had fish pie which was delicious
We've just had lunch at the Alexandra, our first time there. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented, good sized portions and great value, and the staff were lovely We will definitely be back, the added bonus being we live just round the corner so no driving required 😊😊. Thank you for an extremely nice meal.

Had a meal last night (wednesday) and food was great . Portion size was good . Service brill nothing was any trouble , and all cooked to order will defo recommend .
We’ve just had a lovely meal at the Alex and will definitely return. There were 9 of us and everyone’s meal was really fresh & tasty. Some of us had desserts which again were lovely, and the kids ate for £1 so very happy with the bill! All served with a smile by the lovely Heather
Amazing Sunday lunch today. First visit to the ‘Alex’ but definitely won’t be the last . Melt in the mouth pork with amazing crackling. Top quality ingredients too. X

Just had Cod loin, black pudding duchess potatoes with mussels, bacon and leeks in a creamy garlic sauce. Stunning. The wife had the Duck breast in a sticky date sauce. Both were beautiful. Complements to the chef. Well done Ben.. It was amazing.

I loved the meal was truly amazed that a restaurant in Withernsea can achieve such a standard. Will definitely be visiting again. Only down side was I couldn't lock the ladies toilet door had to sing!! Xx
The Alexandra Hotel is one of the oldest pubs in Withernsea. The pub has two rooms, a large bar with TVs for watching sports and a separate room with a pool table and a dart board. There is a good choice of beers, lagers, and cider, including two cask conditioned real ales. There is a beer garden and the pub is dog friendly.
Fabulous dog friendly place to stay. Rooms was clean and nice. The gentleman who checked us in and was behind the bar throughout our stay was really friendly and helpful

Excellent fresh cooked food. Called in to the Alexandra Hotel for a Sunday carvery whilst on holiday in the area and I have to say it must be one of the best Sunday roasts I have ever tasted. I was that impressed we visited again for an evening meal during our stay which was also impressive. The hotel looks like it's in need of some TLC on the outside but very modern and clean on the inside so don't judge a book by its cover.
Visited with my two daughters and grandchildren for late Sunday Carvery. Nicely refurbished inside. First class service from friendly welcoming staff. Excellent meat and vegetable choices with accompiants. Very decadent puddings. Could not fault for price.
I had a carvery and it was superb. The meats were perfect and all the veg was fresh with plenty to choose from. It is rare to find a carvery to compare with your own home cooking but this was definitely up there. If you're in Withernsea I recommend you give it a go as the quality of the food is excellent and great value for money. Worth my 5 star rating without a doubt!

We were stopping at the Park Dean caravan park nearby. Asked a member of staff to recommend somewhere to go for a carvery. We weren't disappointed. Had a lovely meal here. Had a medium carvery and couldn't eat anything else for the rest of the day. Well cooked and a lovely atmosphere.

Just had yet another lovely meal.today was exceptional as for a few weeks they had Thai green curry on the specials menu . But I was disappointed as it wasn't available today .the bar person went to ask Chef if he would make one and he went out of his way for me .and made one especially for me .thank you so much .all that was left was an empty plate .excellent service.
We booked a table the night before for Sunday Lunch with ease and was offered a bar restaurant or garden area table. Dont be fooled by the exterior of the hotel its beautiful and clean with nice decor inside and the staff couldn't do enough to please us... Sunday lunch was carvery with a choice of 4 meats all cooked perfect and good choice of freshly cooked vegetables. The chef even cooked sausages to go with my fussy daughters lunch. Price was fantastic and you could go back for more veggies etc if you wanted. Highly recommended that is a rarety for me who doesn't leave reviews but well deserved.

Very clean, spacious & friendly. Booked at the last minute & I was able to check in straight away. Considering there is a pub below the rooms you can not hear any noise what so ever. The bed was very comfortable so I was able to get a good night sleep.
Definitely worth the money which was reasonably priced for a seaside town.
Gem of a place to eat!!! The only thing I would say is the place is almost hidden in plain sight. We visit Withernsea all the time and whilst it's in a good location on the high street it was never really somewhere we'd considered eating. We recently visited as a family and I have to say the food, drink and service were excellent and all a prices that a kind to your pocket. Something you very much need to keep an eye on as a family of five. Owners need to shout from the rafters, advertising in Windows, blackboards outside front etc because it's a fantastic place, I just worry people won't see it and as such think to use it regularly.
We live in Withernsea and my son and daughter booked a surprise mother's day treat for me and my partner...we wasn't disappointed...the food ..carvery was absolutely amazing!! And the staff and chef were brilliant!! If you visit withernsea ...please give the Alex a go...you won't be disappointed
