I have been ordering takeaway from Gurkha as a treat for the past few months and loving it, so we finally went into the restaurant tonight. Fantastic! The restaurant: Plenty of seating, nice warm fireplace, and cosy without feeling cramped. Prompt, friendly service. The food: Delicious! We enjoyed everything we ordered. We had chicken momo, chicken chhoyala, nepalese curry, and black bean beef. Hard to choose a favourite, honestly. I've had the Raja Rhani before and also loved it. We will be back soon. Try the Gurkha beer!

Wow, I've been passing by the Old Court hotel in Witney almost daily. As such a self confessed Curry lover - I have wanted to test the Gurka Bar out. I'm so pleased I did and although the menu is limited to some extent the food is prepared to the level of spice you might like. I opted for both a Chicken Saag and Tadka Daal. Enough for two people with ease or two meals! Its a test of the Chefs abilities too as its so easy to burn the Garlic. Not in this case and I highly recommend both dishes! I almost don't want to write a review as I would keep Gurka Bar a secret. I opted for a takeaway as I live close by. However I will definitely book and eat there too. I've given five stars through out. However I wasn't there long enough to truly comment on the Atmosphere. My meal was ready in less than the said fifteen minutes. If you love Curry *do* go and visit or order a takeaway you wont to go anywhere else.

Absolutely fabulous food. Well worth eating here. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it's tastefully decorated and serves the best Indian, Thai and Nepalese food around Witney.

Not the easiest place to find because it looks more like a village pub than an Indian restaurant, but so glad we trusted Google and looked closer to find it. Genuine warm and friendly welcome. Modern surroundings but still in keeping with the old building. Food was absolutely delicious and served quickly. So full of flavour and you can specify the level of heat to suit. Not the biggest of portions but there was lots of meat. Will definitely visit again if in the area.

Absolute Gem of a place! The food here is so good , it was by chance that we ate here. After taking a drive out we noticed this restaurant we stopped and went in, we were met with a friendly face who seated us immediately. We ordered drinks and then our food, which came within minutes. My starter was onion bhaji. My wife’s starter was king prawn in bread crumbs. Both were absolutely amazing so tasty so hot so succulent. Our mains were raja rani lamb with pilau rice and garlic naan. Both came piping hot and full of flavour, I’m a massive fan of curries and Nepalese food and this was up there with the best I’ve eaten! Visit here and understand why I called it a little Gem :)
