By far the best italian dining experience I have had in the last 30 years. A family run business with great ambiance and decor. The food was nothing short of amazing and I can't wait to return and bring family and friends with me.

We had a lovely meal last Saturday; good food and friendly attentive staff. Only slight downside was that the white wine wasn't properly chilled. We did have an issue with the main course but it was quickly and pleasantly resolved so not a real problem. Still worth 4 stars and will definitely be going back.

We ate in this time and had a really lovely meal. The staff were super friendly and helpful and very mindful and understanding when needed as well. The food was exceptional as always and that has to be the best ice cream I have ever had.

A genuine gem offering great value - found this place via DinnerData and decided to give it a go for my partner's birthday. Really pleased we did as we had a great meal at a surprisingly good price. The mussels were a highlight from the starters, but we couldn't pick the stand out favourites from the mains as we each were delighted with our choices. A note to anyone who visited this venue back when it was the Purple Goose, you can expect significantly better value for money in my opinion at Giovanni's.

Lovely little restaurant. Cozy and comfortable. The foods great and cooked by the chef and owner Giovanni and yes he is Italian. Book a reservation to avoid not getting a table.
