We really enjoyed our visit here. Lunch came to about £35 excluding drinks and we were absolutely stuffed full. Friendly waiting staff. Lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent with just enough choice. For a chain restaurant - but having never been to a Giggling Squid restaurant - I can highly recommend. We will certainly be back.

We ordered 4 starters: Spring rolls, dumplings, salad and squid all were excellent though a little lukewarm. The main courses were Sea bass, red Thai chicken and duck. All were good portions, looking small but really filling all 3 were ordered with Jasmin rice. Delicious and recommended. The drinks could have been colder. I think they have not enough fridges. The service was excellent and friendly and funny. It was an enjoyable time. Highly recommended.

Just amazing. Stunning food, great service. Despite of the restaurant being very full and busy we did not need to wait for our food too long. The downside is that from all she excitement we forgot to take our take away bag with food from the table and it was too far to come back when we realised, I can’t tell you how gutted we were ! :( will return again for sure and truly can’t wait.

had prawn crackers for starters and the dip was so good, would definitely recommend trying cocktails/mocktails they are all so full of flavour and well nicely decorated. had pad thai noodles for main which was delicious, the tofu is soft but not chewy with perfect texture and a delicious taste. also had lychee ice cream sundae which was so good i totally recommend! the atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing. as seen in photos attached to this review the decorations are immaculate with a wild-life type theme. all the staff are friendly and helpful and make sure we have the best meal possible.

Great place to eat in Wokingham. Friendly and attentive staff, pleasant interior which is kept clean, and delicious food. I highly recommend the lamb shank massaman, the lamb was so pink and tender. Good value too!

My husband and I wanted to try a new restaurant for his birthday. Having looked at the menu and reviews for the Giggling Squid, we made a last minute reservation online. We were welcomed and seated by a lovely lady. We both had a mocktail: a Lychee Angel and the Strawberry Cooler. I must admit I didn't have high expectations, as those drinks tend to be full of ice cubes and diluted so much that they don't taste of much after the first few sips. But the mocktails at Giggling Squid were exceptional. It was like a party in your mouth all the way through! The food is absolutely smashing. Each dish is full of flavour without being overpowering. The chicken is tender, the veggie crisp and the sauces...! We liked the dressing of a tapas so much that we had to ask what it was made of. The lovely lady went to the kitchen and asked the chef(s) for us. All with a smile on her face❤️ As I mentioned that we're coming in for my husband's birthday, his desert was presented on a plate with a candle and the words 'happy birthday' written in what I believe to be strawberry syrup. To my husband's embarrassment, the lady even sang happy birthday for him. We all had a good laugh 😂 The atmosphere, food and service were so amazing, that my husband and I have now agreed to go there for every birthday and try something new off the awesome menu (and maybe in between birthdays). Thank you to the lovely lady whose name I sadly didn't get. You're amazing and Giggling Squid is lucky to have you working there. She can be seen in the green blouse in the first photo - please let me know if you'd like me to remove it.

Beautiful vegan meal for two. The food is so fresh, served on lovely china and very filling. The service was wonderful, such a beautiful woman who looked after us, she was a delight. And we loved the tea! We will definitely be back as soon as we can - thank you so much.

I’ve not had a bad meal in Giggling Squid in Wokingham. Me and my husband went this evening for a casual meal out. I had a Slinky pink cocktail, it has vodka and lychee liquor and my hubby had the Angel virgin cocktail which was similar minus the alcohol. Both delicious. Starter we shared the pork dumpling, they look cute and pack a flavoursome punch. You get four which is enough to share. Mains we went for Thai red curry and Thai green curry, enough spice to get a bit of warmth but not too much to blow your head off. We were totally stuffed so didn’t want dessert. Good service, good atmosphere and great flavours. Give it a try…

Lovely atmosphere and really kind staff. Asked for extra spice and they accommodated. Really authentic flavour and my new number 1 thai restaurant. If you are unsure on spice levels, talk to staff on recommendations as they offer to amend the spice level if it's too hot or add more if you need it.

I went here for a team Christmas lunch and it was really great. The decor is very welcoming and fresh. We were greeted with a smile and the waiter who took the order was very engaging. Our food came fairly quickly (everything comes at once). I had the Green Thai Curry which was plentiful and bursting with complexity with a side of Vegetable Spring Rolls - these I thought lacked a little flavour. Overall I would visit again.

Delicious food and very attentive staff. Only downside was a bit cold , and couldn't enjoy any nice music in the background so the atmosphere was a bit meh..

Everything about our experience today was fantastic. Despite some items being unavailable, a list was printed and delivered with the menus when we first arrived. I find it frustrating when staff don’t tell you what’s unavailable until you try and order. Goji prosecco was delicious and they have a good non alcoholic beer (Bittburger). I love how all the dishes tasted completely unique, especially as they were all vegan, yet had the same light, perfectly spiced Thai taste. Vegetable spring rolls crispy and fresh, crunchy tofu salad with apple and a zingy dressing, simple noodles with bean sprouts with an incredible flavour (I couldn’t suss out what it tasted of but it was really good, maybe an oil) and Thai green curry which we lathered on the jasmine rice. So good!

The best Thai food I've experienced in England. I live in Thailand so tend not to eat Thai food when in England, knowing I will be disappointed. The Giggling Squid Wokingham has proved the exception. After discovering it this summer, I have taken friends back there on three occasions. I was disappointed by my one evening visit. It was much busier than the afternoon and too noisy as it filled up., Obviously a popular choice. During the afternoon, it's much quieter, plus the afternoon menu is less expensive and in my opinion better. It's a large, bright restaurant with pleasant staff, and I can't recommend it more - but do go in the afternoon, unless you like crowds and noise.
