I have visited the New Peking Chef, on and off, for years. I'd recommend it. Chinese & Malaysian takeaway food is great. Fish and chips usually good (very rarely been slightly undercooked). Friendly people.

This is probably my favourite chinese takeaway, always very friendly and helpful. Meets dietary requirements such as gluten-free. Food tastes great and is always high quality. It feels like such a welcoming place, e.g. We once went there wanting fish and chips, but it said "no fish and chips, fryer is broken." We went in and said,"we were going to order fish and chips, but we see the fryer broke." She thought for a second and said, "No, you're regular, we make especially for you." This really made my day, and as a bonus, every time it's someone's birthday and we go, they give us fortune cookies for free!

I must admit that I generally used this place for their Chinese takeout rather than fish and chips because I thought there were better options. But I used them a short while ago on a Sunday because they were the only chippy open. I was very impressed with the quality and quantity and the batter on the fish was crispy and not too heavy.
I tried them again last night and was equally impressed. My only criticism would be that they don't serve haddock, but I will forgive them this because the cod is equally yummy.
So I have used them twice recently and enjoyed some superb fish and chips

We come here quite often for either Chinese of fish’n’chips and find it a little inconsistent (mainly the Chinese). Generally I’m happy and it’s nearby and convenient for us so we keep coming back.
A number of times I’ve had some poor service from the young counter staff. Nothing too awful but utterly indifferent and you get the feeling that customers are an inconvenience.
There’s a minimum charge of £10 for card. There’s a cash machine 30s walk away but if you just want some chips and only have your phone, you’re out of luck.

Visited here twice now and have loved it both times! Price is fair compared to other places. We have collected both times and when we have arrived it is always ready. Food is always cooked well!

This is our preferred local takeaway, we love the variety on offer, the chips are always good and any dish that says “chilli” is just spicy enough for us (try the crispy chilli chicken - it’s good!) The chicken nuggets keep our fussy kids happy too. If you collect, the food is pretty much always ready within 10-15 minutes and there is loads of free easy parking

This was our first time using the new peking chef. And what a pleasant surprise a very good choice of food. After ordering we didn't wait long, even after driving home food was still hot. Plenty of food for us nicely cooked very tasty. Would we recommend this place?? Most definitely..

Quick delivery. Great menu choice - Fish & Chips, Peking, Cantonese, Malaysian, Thai & Vegetarian food. Chips can sometimes be a little anaemic but no more than any other fish & chip shop. I like my chips crispy and golden. Says it has a home delivery charge within 2.5 miles radius but we've not had it. Think it's a typo and it's outside of 2.5 miles.

Used to use this takeaway on a regular basis over the last ten years. Ordered tonight and found it has been taken over by greedy new owners. Prices have gone up considerably, now being charged £1.50 for delivery even though it is a 5 min drive, portions sizes were abysmal, chicken balls were the size of child's small bouncy ball. Shredded chilli beef box was virtually empty about 4 strands each for 2 and no longer offered free prawn crackers with orders over £13. Food arrived lukewarm the sweet and sour sauce was like jelly and when rang up to complain was told this is how it is going to be from now on and would not offer decent compensation. Will never ever order from them again. Get yourself a better takeaway for less money ANYWHERE else. Will never recommend again.

The worst chips ever!!!. I have bought some Thai, Chinese and some chips.<br/>The Thai was very hot, the Chinese was hopeless and the chips was terrible - obvious left overs from yesterday, but just heated or gone through the frying oil once more.<br/>I have swallowed the unpleasant taste of old chips and small portions and let it go for a while.<br/>Today I have gone again to give it a second try and they were very consistent it providing the same badly cooked Chinese and terrible chips.<br/>Do not risk your health nor waste your money - go to other take away's - there are enough in the area.<br/>Lest hope soon these profit makers will be out of business and give a chance to a real take away.
