Craven's Fish Shop - Wolsingham - Photo album

Tasty. The fish bites are chunkier than in many other chip shops, so fill you up and at 1.50 each, make a very reasonably priced meal.
Greed comes to mind £10.10 for a fish and a small bag of chips and a can of pop , if she let me off with the 10 pence I wouldn’t have put this review on total rip-off you’re better off going to a Chinese take away
Small little chip shop with a big punch, me and wife just got chips and they were well priced and lovely. If I'm that way agaen I will definitely be going back for some more.
Delicious fish and chips & lovely friendly service.
Amazing food. Cheese chunkie was amazing. Chips were also good. Very cheap. Most expensive meal was £7. Cheapest was £2.10. Very filling. Wrapped in newspaper which was a first for me. 9.5/10 would recommend and go again.
Beautiful fish and chips. Wrapped in paper. Staff are fantastic. Owners are so happy to see you and make you feel like part of the family. Best chippy around the dales by far. I live at stanhope and i pass two chip shops to go there BEAUTIFUL BEST FOOD EVER
Food was tasty and the service was lovely. They were shutting soon but still offered to make up what we wanted! Will go again.
Lovely small local chip shop, one of VERY few who wrap up my chips in newspapers. Very nice and its always a cook to order policy (for example if you want a fish they'll cook it from scratch). Also portions are very decent and the cost is far lower than your average chippy. (Another example: I rec
Probably the best fish and chips I've ever had and as Billy Connolly said I'm no stranger to a fish supper. 1st class proper traditional fish and chips. The jumbo cod is amazing.
The village chippy, everything cooked then wrapped the tradional way in newspaper its more than just a chippy though a good meeting, talking place well worth a visit if in the area when it's open ☆☆☆
Possibly the best fish I’ve ever had, need that secret recipe! Had to go back for 2nd’s! A hidden treasure!
Best chip shop in the world? ....Probably. Been in more chippies than I care to remember, can thing of a good few that run it close, but none that can beat it. Craven's takes you back in time 40 or 50 years to a different world, just like all comfort food should. An oasis of stability in this ever c
Friendly staff and lovely food 😋
Cravens fish shop is by far the best chippy in the north east... the fish is meaty and proper its not a fillet of a fillet and always fried to perfection. I travel over 15 miles to visit and will not eat fish from anywhere else. Cravens has spoilt me. FIVE STAR THUMBS UP THE BEST
Love love love! The food was gorgeous and wrapped the old school way in newspaper. portions were huge and very tasty. Lovely couple who run the place!
Old traditional chippy where your fish n chips are still wrapped in newspapers. Cheep as chips as well
